kaidenlem
I got the idea to bring this up as a fact that I am 18 years old, yet I have 4 cars total. 2 of them being 87 Comanches (Chief 4x4 and Pioneer 2wd). One of the others that was my first car is an 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ Special Edition with the 4.7 and Quadra-trac II. For my 18th birthday I bought myself an 02 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport with the 4.0, 4 inch lift, and 35s. I had hoped to get my grandfather's 86 Comanche Custom as my first car, but he traded it to have a carport built over his camper, and naturally I never saw it again. Fast forward to 2019, I had tried contacting the current owner of my grandfathers (I had the vin searched by a guy who worked for a towing yard) and the owner noted he had scrapped it a couple years back. I called all the local scrapyards, and they never required a title so naturally the truck was gone forever. I bought one very similar to his, and that is my 87 Pioneer I am now working on restoring. But outside of Comanches, what does everyone use as their daily driver vehicle?

Dzimm
Since turning 16 I have daily driven XJs and for the last few years a mix of XJs and MJs. Finally this year I bought 2014 Dodge Journey to have a nice, go anywhere and not worry about it, vehicle. I'm 25 now married and hopefully kids soon. derf
After a couple of cases where all of my Jeeps had issues and I had to think about whether I could get to work or not, I bought a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. A new car that I'm not going to modify and one with a warranty makes a good daily driver.

Just keep an eye on the sliding doors, you'd better replace the rollers as soon as they start making noise than have to buy the closer motor/cable, trust me. BeatCJ
Company truck, 2004 Ford Explorer. On my time, 2001 GMC DRW, great trailer tower. 2 oil changes a year, except when I loaned it to my son and his room mate. They racked up 30,000 miles in a year. Pete M
my daily was a 97 T+C for like a decade. I really miss that van. soooo comfy and I could haul most anything in it. nowadays it's an 06 Libby diesel. love the noises it makes, but the hauling part can be more... challenging. The86manche
I have 2 that i daily.. well one is down for rust repair.. But my 95 orvis that ive owned for over 3 years now Love this thing its treated me well and helped many family member in their own pinches. And its comfy! I usually have 3 cars in the fleet at a time so that i have a backup for myself or anyone else for winter or any emergency so my third car i have usually bounced around. Originally it was a 00 audi a6 quattro 2.7 twin turbo with a tiptronic transmission I sold that and picked up a 98 5.9 grand cherokee and had a blast in it sold that and then decided i wanted to drive something that didnt need constant work so i went out and bought myself my first "newer" car. 2013 dodge dart limited 1.4 turbo with a 6 speed manual. Loaded with features and comfy! Its not fast but it gets great gas mileage!

That covers us both for trips in "fancy" cars or those of such length that makes me question the thought of taking any of my vehicles for fear of never making it there (or back). LOL. That leaves me free to buy and drive beaters and save a ton of cash My stable is an 01 Focus (the hod rod) and my beloved 02 KJ. She's never driven either of them....has no want or need, and besides can't drive a stick anyway (the Focus is a 5 speed).
eaglescout526
I hope to have the T-bird running as that car that can take the duty of daily while I try to do other things to Little Red and Chunk like insulation and better rust repair. Smokeyyank
Well it was my WJ I built specifically to be a decent daily/family rig and after "Jeep" things kept happening I got a scion xB. Not the best, but not the worst and I hate jeeps less. Plus I get like double the MPG in it so it been a win all around. Although in the 3 months I've had it been in more accidents than in my 20 years of driving. Wife thinks it's cursed. Whatever get's me around and I don't have to wonder what my next project will be on it.
JMO413
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Lowered 2" with Eibach springs, Bilstein, MBRP stainless cat back exhaust and AFE cold air intake. It runs good but sounds great. It will still go about anywhere and handles like its on rails.

PCO6
Apart from my MJ, my other rides are Jeeps too. I have an '89 XJ, an '03 TJ and an '04 LJ. They're all daily drivers but my LJ is the one I use the most during the winter. I'll be relying on the TJ for most of this winter though as I'll be painting the LJ. tugboat95
2012 Ram 1500 crew cab with a Hemi. Bought this 5 years ago specifically to pull our camper. Suburban struggled. The Ram doesnt even know it's back there. I absolutely love it. Just completed the 100k Mile service for it. It has never let let me down. My Comanche is a toy I drive a few times a week. The Ram earns The money all day every day. By the way, I sold the camper a few months ago. Wife drives a 13 Impala for now. She's itching for a Tahoe and I keep expecting to come home and see one sitting Inn The driveway. Technically I also own an 02 Accord but that's my son's car long enough to for him to finish college.89 ComancheEliminator2wd4.0L5 speed PukeGoatFactory Original
buxmj
We bought a new Hyundai Elantra GT 2 months ago and it is my new daily driver. A few weeks ago I realized the last time I drove a brand new vehicle as a daily driver was when I bought my mj over 30 years ago. Since we got married in 2000 my wife has always driven the new car which didn't bother me, if a car breaks down I don't want her stranded somewhere by herself. The '04 Ford Escape was mine from '09 til now, our daughter gets to drive it to high school, 4 miles each way so it will be fine, we broke it in for her, lol, bought it new just before she was born and now has 242k. My wife's '15 Rogue is good for her and she isn't driving nearly as much working from home so that car will last a while. I really like driving a car again. I can haul stuff and it handles nice and has nice pickup.

MJCARENA
I have a 1995 F150 4x4 that is my daily driver and prospecting vehicle. Has a 5.0 w/ automatic. 2 inch lift on 33x10.5x15. 255,000 miles and still going strong.
