Well the 2.8 is a 60* pattern and it’s shared with the 2.5L. So any GM 2.8 or 3.4 should have a transmission you’re looking for.

Those bolts look like they’re out. Try pushing them through from the other side. But if you say the brakes are seized, then that’s probably why they’re fighting you to come off.

I think early MTs were 4/1. Course they could be swapped in at any point since I see there’s a 35 on your MJ. Or even a towing package could’ve had those leafs without having the metric ton payload.

Those look like factory leafs. If I had to say, I think someone removed those retainer bolts to give the springs a new shot at life without being so compressed together.

Well if it helps, heat. AZ destroyed the plastic cover on mine and it’s just flaking off. All of the trip starts out as chrome and just got more or less plastic dipped for the black trim.

Still looks like factory suspension. Metric ton springs out back. Could be just old replacement rancho shocks.

What happens if you back off the tension to factory spec?

Plug n play. Just need to swap the oil sender for a sensor. Same with the temp sender. And depending on the engine you might have to adjust the tach. also Speedo is important too.

Tweeters are nice to have. They do make a difference but they have to be more or less spliced in. The fog harness should be able to be pinned into the connector for the headlamp harness.

Oh yeah EGR is a good one to check too.

Brown probably? Mine didn’t leak exhaust gases into the cooling system but it sure would overheat and or make the overflow just boil over. Both on my eagle and MJ the gasket was failing just enough to let water into the combustion chamber and cause it to not ignite.

Welcome! Which engine is it? But I think I’ve seen your posts in FB about it being a 2.5L. If it is the first thing that comes to my mind is condition of the fluids and notably the cooling system. My MJ when it had a bad headgasket would do very similar things to what is happening with yours.

Brass ones are 86 sending units. They can be used with the smaller Bosch ones that replaced the bigger style.
