What Purpose Does Your MJ serve?

Recommended Posts

Many people use their MJs for different things. I want to know what you use yours for!

Mine is my daily driver from spring through fall and my car show truck, but I also use it for hauling and towing things.

It fills a space in my garage and will suck money in for years.

I might be able to drive it eventually.

No longer have mine, but when I did it served faithfully as a DD for me in stock configuration (2WD, 2.5L).  Then I started modding it a bit, converted to 4X and wheeled it mildly.  Swapped in a 4.0, eventually went to 35's/locked.  Had a bunch of fun with it in the woods but it became wholly impractical for even occasional DD use.  It had an amazing ability to turn power into heat and noise without the pesky side effects of speed  and became a garage toy.  Eventually sold it to a country boy who I could tell by looking at him was gonna flog the crap out of it for the way I eventually built it for but never really did.

I miss it almost every day.

My 91's primary purpose these days appears to be occupying space in my mind, mostly in the form of me wishing I had a protected place to park it.

My 89... is completely useless right now.

Unfortunately mine has been used for parts storage and for holding a Comanche shape to a car cover for four years now.

one is a 4x4 toy that currently holds down the gravel next to the barn (can't let it float away), one is a rustfree shell of dreams (i.e. it could be anything some day), one is a resto in progress, and the trailer actually gets to go out with me on adventures. :D

I seem to use mine a lot to pick up parts for my other 3 Jeeps.  It's also good for kayaking day trips.

My 89, 4.0L, 2WD is my daily driver, work truck and towing vehicle for my 16' trailer. I bought it to to replace my 89 Ford F-150 (original owner)

After alot of TLC it is now doing the job. I can see it going to some local car shows. Hopefully this vehicle will ride me on out.

Its the "Lets go buy $1500 worth of lumber at Lowe's" truck. It gets used when I need to haul things around that I would prefer not to put in my van.

Mine is used as a 3rd vehicle for me and my wife, as toy project.... the only one I have right now, and as a truck as needed. Being able to use it as a truck still is priority. And in cooler months Ill daily drive it.

It's the truck I prefer to drive. I have a company truck for work, a GMC 3500 Dually to pull the trailer, haul gravel, or block, or full size loads, anything else is the Comanche. Right now it has 6 bags of garden soil in it.

I bought the truck new in 1989 and for the first 15 years it was my daily transportation to and from work. During hunting season it was my hunting truck. After I retired I used it for about everything you can think of. It has hauled everything from rock and sand to furniture to lumber. I pull my boat and jet-ski with it, also a trailer for my four wheeler.

I drive it almost everyday hauling something if it's just me. That it next to my wife's 4 by 4.
