  1. NOT original to the truck, but my great-grandfather owned this dealership (1950-88). They sold AMC along with Jeep, Ford, Edsel, Lincoln, & Mercury through the years. Lucky enough to have one of his old dealer badges.
  2. https://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/engine/1707-new-style-radiator-cools-older-xj-cherokee/ i re-used my upper and lower hoses, but theres amazon links to everything at the bottom of that page
  3. Literally just swapped mine to open this past weekend. Super easy, the new Spectra radiators have a bung for the fan temp sensor on them. Also deleted the heater control valve.
  4. I would be interested in the plastic trim piece that covers the passenger side rear bolt of the "oh crap" handle. My buddy was going to make one, but his printer is offline currently
  5. a hole to throw money into
  6. Hampton roads
  7. made some block off plates out of scrap aluminum and slapped in some LED marker lights. Looks better and they work... All in about $20 and 2hrs of my time
  8. ill have to check that tomorrow, I think I did the harness upgrade from K Suspension a while ago but I don't remember
  9. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but any ideas as to why the front turn signals stop working? Id like to drop in an LED set also if somebody as a suggestion? I'm already LED headlights and the Rustys LED buckets for the tails... I don't see any offered but I may try to retrofit in a GM set into the jeep housings
  10. aw4, which I think is what i already have in my truck
  11. well, I'm tossing around the idea of doing a 4x4 swap. I can get the trans, tcase, axle, shifter, linkage, and both driveshafts for $500... is this a good price?
  12. My phone autocorrected 4.2 to 4.0 (guess i google 4.0 too much lol). I don't know the whole story, this is my old mans purchase... All i know is he bought it from the son of the original owner. The original owner passed away and apparently after much fighting between siblings the guy in our neighborhood got it. The day it showed up (over a year ago) my old man was drooling over it. They wouldnt sell it, after holding onto it waiting for a family member to get the cash together he finally offered us the opportunity to buy since he knows we also have 2 MJ’s and a Wagoneer
  13. We picked up a new “project” this week, a Scrambler. 4.2L, manual, 4x4 with 11,000 original miles... 1st step is wait for the rain to clear up and take it to see if the paint can be brought back to life.
  14. does anyone have a spare passenger side lock rod? or know where i can order a new one? thanks in advance
  15. Never looked at them or for them, its titled as an 86 so maybe its a split year
  16. got the console in a week or 2 ago. Decided to weld it into the truck because I'm lazy and didnt want to mess with bolts. Also finalized the XJ bucket install...
  17. @PAPASMURF9214 where in NC are you located? I'm in Hampton Roads VA. I have black vinyl bench seat that was just re-upholstered in August '17... only problem is i cut the brackets off the bottom (still have them) they just need to be re-bolted/welded back on because i was gonna do an XJ bucket swap.
  18. We have an 89 360 auto 4x4 still needs some interior love, but looks good on the outside
  19. @jeeppapa Thanks for the idea on the pass seat swap, i never paid attention that they were the same on both sides. Ill have to keep an eye on that next time they get a XJ on the yard that i can get to within a day or 2
  20. added. Lanexa VA
  21. purchased this Havis PPV console system and lockbox yesterday to put between the bucket seats. I really hope this works out because i think I will be the first to document using this setup. I will post more pics when they come in a month or so (20day production lead time).
  22. Found a set of super dirty 94 XJ bucket seats at the junkyard for $35 and cleaned them up. They didnt clean up great, but good enough to have some nice $20 autozone covers on them lol... before and after pics. the seats are installed in the truck, but just by using 2 bolts per seat I put thru the floor board. When my dad gets his 88 MJ out of our garage (motor swap) ill hopefully get these mounted correctly using the MJ bench brackets
