How much weight could you put in the bed of an MJ? My big truck is down for a bit and I have to pick up a fireplace insert soon. It weighs about 450-500lbs. Shouldnt be an issue, right?

What you want to look out for is how much pressure the feet are going to put on your floor. If your floor isn’t solid or you don’t want to mar the finish throw a sheet of plywood down.

The weight itself isn’t going to be an issue for even the lightest gvw.

I cut a horse mat to fit the bed of my truck.  Heavy duty, comfortable, and cheap protection for any loads.

As for what I did recently, just some temporary zip ties to hold the front inner fender lining up until I finish my timing.

And on a lighter note…

Impressive!   Saw a spot on a guy from Westbrook Maine who's approaching 1 million on his 98 Chevy P/U.  All original drivetrain.  Something to shoot for there Tim. :L:

I think that econobox above yours is much more of a pos than yours is.  Unless that’s your Lada.
Oh, and I’d take your truck before any of those Audi’s.

Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that

Added some Rough Country MOLLE panels to my ‘88 SWB. They are intended for the Tacoma so a little trimming was required since I placed them behind the bed rails.

Do these just give you additional tie down points inside the bed?

My pic is my prepping to trim my fender after my truck got hit (damage was down low, was gonna trim anyway).

Yes, tie down points and you can attach stuff to them.

I’ve been smelling gas under the hood of my ‘89 for the last couple weeks which was a leaky injector or two. Just replaced with refurbished Bosch 746’s, nice smooth idle at 750 RPM and no fuel smell! I guess the 34 year old injectors were at EOL.

Traded the D30 (?) rear end out of my MJ into the parts Jeep for the 8.25 rear axle.

Amazing what a size difference there is just between these 2 axles.
