How much weight could you put in the bed of an MJ? My big truck is down for a bit and I have to pick up a fireplace insert soon. It weighs about 450-500lbs. Shouldnt be an issue, right?

That’s just fine. The payload on the basic trucks was somewhere are 1500lb.

Shouldn’t if it’s in good shape. But it depends on the condition of the vehicle.

What you want to look out for is how much pressure the feet are going to put on your floor. If your floor isn’t solid or you don’t want to mar the finish throw a sheet of plywood down.

The weight itself isn’t going to be an issue for even the lightest gvw.

And on a lighter note…

Impressive!   Saw a spot on a guy from Westbrook Maine who's approaching 1 million on his 98 Chevy P/U.  All original drivetrain.  Something to shoot for there Tim. :L:

Added some Rough Country MOLLE panels to my ‘88 SWB. They are intended for the Tacoma so a little trimming was required since I placed them behind the bed rails.

Do these just give you additional tie down points inside the bed?

My pic is my prepping to trim my fender after my truck got hit (damage was down low, was gonna trim anyway).

I’ve been smelling gas under the hood of my ‘89 for the last couple weeks which was a leaky injector or two. Just replaced with refurbished Bosch 746’s, nice smooth idle at 750 RPM and no fuel smell! I guess the 34 year old injectors were at EOL.
