Bled the coolant system after following instructions on this here forum (thanks!)... point the truck downhill and remove the temp sending unit. Then spent HOURS pressure washing the underside of the truck. Here in Vermont the humidity and salted roads mean a lot of people get their vehicles “oil undercoated”. For years I had a guy nearby who would thoroughly pressure wash the underside and then use chainsaw bar oil to undercoat. I don’t believe that’s legal anymore, so he shut down that business. So now I take it to a place that uses Fluid Film. They charge $130 but they don’t pressure wash/clean before they undercoat. So after 3 or 4 rounds of undercoating with no pre-cleaning, the truck is coated in a thick layer of dirt/grime/grease/lanolin underneath. I’m slowly chipping away at it section by section in prep for the Fluid Film before winter hits.

thehomelesdepot Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Made a bed mat out of two 4x6 3/4" horse mats a few months ago for around $100. Its cuts best with a utility knife and I used a hole saw for the wheel well radius.

You can throw anything on them and don't have to worry about it.

Honestly I found whatever one can get works, With that being said I carry extra cps as a never know when you may need one type of situation.

Pete M Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 I dragged home this pile of crap. some guy's project that he started/stopped like 10 years ago. no title of course. see-through floor on teh pass side, somethigns been repainted at some point in time, and the rear bumper is quite bent and has some nasty rot shown in the pic below. came with a pair of 97+ doors and a hood that were apparently refinished eons ago but left in primer. I'm guessing the lower bits were repainted at some point, but maybe it was just this fender. but then maybe more since I see the 4x4 badges are in the wrong spot. I haven't taken a magnet to it all yet. used to have the v6 in there the cab and the bed were filled with trash. not Jeep trash, just the regular kind. I kept anything that looked like it once belonged to a Jeep. random 97+ door on this side. original hood was still around, though not attached to anything. this was the most painful to see after I dragged it out of the weeds. mangled and I can stick my finger through it.
