Front or rear? -
What's up everyone I picked up a wood grain cover for the dash from a Cherokee but I wanted to ask since the current one has the switch panel molded to the cover compared to the one I picked up from the Cherokee what have you guys done to fix this? I picked up a switch panel from the Cherokee but my dash don't have the metal templates to screw it into... Any solutions? If you guys need pics for more detail I'll be able to get some by the end of the day... Thanks in advance

Well it's been a busy couple weeks, Installed bilsteins all around Installed the re2705 shackles to lift the back an inch Installed 5.5" re coils Installed the cavfab 3-link Still have to cut out the lower control arm mounts But I love the stance, it does squat in the rear compared to the front need to put back the winch bumper but I've already loaded it with 500 pounds of furniture and the general springs metric ton springs do their job of not squatting too much...

"Wendy"- 88 Jeep Comanche Build
88whitemanche replied to Swampy's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Haha you're from Miami too? Small world. and Yes it was being sold by 4x4rebels. I traded my atv for both the Comanche and the Cherokee. It was a bad move on my part (I miss my atv lol), I'm stuck with the jeeps now and I'm going to try and make the best of what I got. Also aside from that how do you like your 2.5 offroad? I think we have the same engine and I am 50/50 between keeping it or swapping it out If your just off-roading on stock gears it feels like you'll need more grunt to get through the thick stuff... I've recently just regeared to 4.88s and lockers but haven't been off-road yet, I'm sure it'll be fun with that little bit extra pep in the axles I was planning going to go 5.13s and lockers as well. Do you DD your manche, because that's the plan with me. Most people say that you'll want to shoot yourself if you dd the 2.5. I mean I don't expect it to be the fastest truck in the world and I do get passed ALOT And the gas mileage is awesome...usually I'm getting thumbs up or people waving me down just to say cool truck... Pretty neat experience for sure.. I haven't been daily driving it the month of august yet due to the extreme heat and humidity but I'll get back to it in a couple weeks -

88whitemanche replied to Me&my86MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
What's the size block off bolt/not sure what it is called you used to block off the egr port of the old intake manifold ? Just noticed in your pic you have the updated intake manifold what did you use for the injectors or did you block them off? -

Going back to the chirping of the tires, when I finally got around to changing the oil after the break in period come to find out the shop didn't install the springs in the locker correctly. Luckily I did the auto locker test...literally had to reinstall them myself Pics Incorrect placement of springs Correct way

Yes it would, the 2wd driveshafts had a rubber content inside the driveshaft that eventually wear out...Some have been lucky to have it balanced with no issues... I'd say lengthen the xj driveshaft as it doesn't have that rubber content in it... Or have a new one made...

Cutting lower control brackets
88whitemanche replied to 88whitemanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm going to be using cutoff discs Just wanted to see if anyone had the experience cutting the mj ones since there's an extra brace on those brackets -
What's up fellas I am 3-linking the truck but want to know the ones that are experience on cutting the brackets on our trucks I don't have access to a plasma cutter so that plan is out what is the easiest way to cut them off? Is there a strategy ? Or just cut away until you see the spot weld and drill them out?
