There's a new long arm kit that's getting some fame going... Cavfab.com He has a 3-link with an option for a 4-link I've yet to experience it but could be a good option in the future... -

I need a fuel sending unit
88whitemanche replied to lostissues's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sending unit should be the same as your 18 gallon tank, the 23.5 gallon tank is longer horizontally not vertically... Might have to check the classified ads on the site to see if anyone has any for sale... -
speedometer questions 4wd conversion
88whitemanche replied to dante2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Crown part # 53005084 is the longer 4wd speedo cable you'll need... As far as swapping from your 2wd trans to put into transfer case...a couple of pics would help determine what you'll need... -
This weekend was a productive weekend I finally got the metric ton military wrapped spring installed and the rear is slightly taller than the front, might have to throw in my 4.5" coils in to see it evens out with the rear... Also installed my speedometer cable crown part # 53005084 which is 94" long, feels great to know how fast am I going again and finally keep track of my gas mileage... Ah I almost forgot I had to replace the power steering pressure line and I had to order through rockauto.com because no one local sells them or even had in stock to order, I may pick up another one just to have as a spare... Hopefully during the week I'll be able to install The boostwerks transfer case linkage and the front driveshaft Going to make an appt to drop it off to finally get regeared

Military Wrapped Springs With Lift, Group Buy
88whitemanche replied to Biotex's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Looks good! What shackles are you running? So far the numbers seem to add up. My stock 4x4 sits ~1.9" higher in the rear with a camper shell mounted. Sounds like these leafs are adding +1.25-1.5". Add another ~0.5" for new JKS shackles and it looks like a 3.65-3.9" lift could be needed to level the front. The RE coils would come up just short. I'm running stock shackles -

So I finally installed the springs, I currently have 3.5" rubicon express springs in the front and the rear is slightly higher than the front.. Depending is how long they take to settle I may drop in my spare 4.5" rubicon express coil springs to even it out... Here's the best pic I took with the set up... -

This guy was attempting the swap but not sure if he finished it.... http://comancheclub.com/topic/49211-comanche-chief-aged-to-perfection/page-2 There's another one on jeep forum that I'll search for the link now and edit back... -
I have 35s on mine with 3.5" re coils up front and an xj add a leaf in the rear with sagged springs and cut fenders Since you already have bushwhackers it shouldn't be a problem for rubbing unless you want a tall look for your truck

I'm sure if you call Joe he can create a special set of springs for you with more arch to gain what you want... If that's not an option Outlaw here has rustys off-road mj leaf springs for 4" of lift that netted him close to 5.5" in the rear...
