Are you refering to the round hole in the center of the picture? Thats where your starter mounts. The toothed disc is thhe flywheel and those teeth are where the starter engages to turn the engine.

My cruise control was holding the throttle open slightly on mine.

I think its can be swapped to the late model but not eliminated. I seem to remeber there is room to turn one down so the filter sits threads up, but not sure.

Thats not entirely correct. Auto harness will work with manual trans. Manual harness won't work with auto trans. I have an auto trans harness in my manual truck.

General grabber atx in 31" flavor on my daily mj. Love them. Wouldnt hesitate to buy another set. Confident and stable handling for a 31" truck tire. Handles loads really well and has been able to walk out of all the off road situations I have put them in. My mj is not a wheeler by any means but does see the woods during firewood season. Tuesday I am having cooper at3's put on my wj. The wj is a pavement princess and will probably never see anything worse than an Indiana gravel road. Currently it has cooper discover ht's (on it when it bought it) they have good traction and road manners for a street tire too. Mine are dry rotting and need replaced.
