Sometimes leaf spring bushings are best removed with a blue wrench. -
Rotors and Pads recommendations
watchamakalit replied to NC Tom's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Avoid semi metallic pads. Ceramic much better braking and alot less dust. can't speak for rotors. You could get some fancy drilled and slotted rotors to help with heat disapation, however I don't feel it nessecary. In my meager experience over torqued lugs are more often the cause of warped rotors on the xj/mj platform. -

I am an android user and had tapatalk for a while but ditched it due to issues with viewing and uploading photos to cc. I now have a bookmark set to take me directly to the new posts here. Wouldn't go back to tapatalk for much less that about $50000/yr. Lol

Snow Chili: beans or not -
By special request from Mrs. Watchamakalit: 3lbs largely diced potatoes. Rinse and placed in large pot. Add enough water to cover potatoes. (Can also use 1/2 water, 1/2 chicken broth.) Add garlic and onion salt. Bring to boil and cover. Boil till you can poke with fork, but not fully fork tender. Turn down to simmer. Add 1 block cream cheese, diced melts faster. Once melted, add 1 can cream mushroom, 1 can cream celery, 1 stick butter, 1 cup milk. Continue to simmer until potatoes are fork tender. Scoop into bowl and add freshly shredded cheese and bacon bits.

Unfortunately, I'm not the cook in the house. Its potatoes, and some other tasty stuff in a bowl. Lol

Contact the auction company and see if they would be kind enough to contact the purchaser on your behalf. I wouldnt ask for the purchasers info (seems to personal). But see if they can pass a message to the purchaser to contact you and express interest or even pass on the Comancheclub website.

Another vote for water pump. If you haven't messed with that lower radiator hose clamp before discovering the leak, its rare a hose clamp spontaneously fails. I just went down this path about a year ago. I can't play the video to hear the sound but given the signs ive seen i would change the water pump. -
I use an old bar style double flare set. No idea the brand but it works well for me. These days if I have steel brake line issues involving rust I simply advise the owner to purchase a full brake line kit from dorman or some other manufacturer. My days of chasing rusty lines to install half a dozen splices are over. If a brake line goes to $#!& on a vehicle, the others aren't far behind. The complete hard line kits make live so much better. No worries about where the next leak will occur. Just my $.02 YMMV.

Buying an MJ with no title?
watchamakalit replied to VorTekX's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Indiana does not view a clerical error the same as an absent title. -
I swapped a 44 into mine with the metric tons. No need for bumpstops. don't think the chassis would hold the weight it would take to load them that heavy.

It will absolutely handle it. I have a 5x10 that gets loaded to the brim with green wood and the MJ handles that just fine.

Intake gasket failure/loose intake bolts would cause a vacuum leak signifigant enough to stop a cylider from firing.
