  1. Wish I was lucky enough to have a truck company named after me.....
  2. New bellhousing is painted, back of motor cleaned, transmission ordered. Getting excited to have her back on the road.
  3. Well a small amount of progress was made yesterday. Broke my only t27 bit so parts truck progress is on hold until new tools arrive. Old clutch is out. Still have some cleaning to do then time for a new luk flywheel and clutch kit. Should have those in today. Getting close to making a decision on new or rebuilt trans.....
  4. Not much new to report on the MJ lately. Unfortunately I lost my 3rd gear synchros in the ax15. Upon removal of the trans I discovered a cracked bellhousing. I found a used bell housing on eBay for way too much money. Lol I have a new clutch kit and flywheel on the way. Still saving funds and trying to decide on a new or rebuilt trans. Today I have decided to remove the handful of small things I want off of my parts truck and prepare it for departure from my possession. Then the rest of the day will be spent cleaning and preparing my truck for the arrival of new parts and it's glorious return to the road. She looks so sad and dusty.
  5. Came over our place yesterday. Sorry for the crappy picture, they were moving fast and I'm old and slow with the phone. You can see the pair above the barn in the second pic. The lead one was behind the tree by the time I zoomed in.
  6. I'm not much help in MJ specific units, but I have a eonon in my 13 Silverado and have been very happy with it for a lower end unit it seems to work well.
  7. I added myself also, even though I've done this a few times. Lol Oh well at least I made it to the party, even if I am late.
  8. Working is really all I want out of it. My truck is definitely not a show truck. Lol
  9. If it's swb you will have to drill the rivets and remove the rear panel to fit a 31". I did it to mine. But depending on the actual size of the tire 32" might be possible. I can't speak for a longbed. Edit: I also wanted to add I highly recommend at least a ratchet strap from frame rail to frame rail, I wouldnt trust the factory spare carrier alone. They are too old and really not meant for an oversized tire.
  10. That doesn't look like "Dark Vivid Red Metallic Paint" in the first 2 photos. But the header panel looks like it could be. Maybe the color is off on my phone.
  11. I have a solid glass in my parts truck, however I'm in NE Indiana. So it might not work logistically.
  12. I'll probably have a new one made. Not so keen on replacing 30yr old part with more 30yr old parts. I was really hoping we found an aftermarket solution. Oh well, the search continues.
  13. This is my broken hose. Doesn't look like the one pictured.
  14. No I haven't received an answer yet. May just break down and try a set.
  15. I'm not much of a photographer, but I do enjoy a good sunrise.
  16. Did the engine trouble begin the same time you noticed the oil pressure gauge feed line was broken off below the distributor? If so the oil pressure line could well be the culprit to the demise of your engine.
  17. I highly advise at least a ratchet strap on your spare. The factory winches have aged to the point now they are not trustworthy. I found out the hard way one day a few years back. The spare WILL bounce when it falls from under the truck and makes for a fun time when it comes back up and turns sideways under a moving truck. I have a full size 31" spare on a turbine wheel under mine. I had to remove the "splash guard?" that sits right behind the bumper for it to fit. But wouldn't do it without something other than just the factory winch.
  18. Hard to say what a fair price is from the purchaser side. Especially not knowing the amount of time you have invested. I have a feeling you can set your price anywhere you feel comfortable. People will buy or they won't. Good chance you sell several since we are all wanting your product.
  19. Never had the chance to meet him but will truly miss his presence on the forum. God speed dear friend.
  20. They are listed to fit 89-90. Is there a change in the ac system that would prevent these from working on my 88?
  21. I'd be interested in a set.
  22. There is such a thing called 5.5mm. I have a snap on socket from back in the day. You have to have one for old gm stuff.
  23. Op has an '86. Would the wiring on the early trucks be different?
