Installed the tow mirrors today. All went well. I was a nervous about drilling holes that wouldnt line up. So after several measurements and double checks in drilled a small pilot and much to my excitement it was on the money. Didnt take any pics in process but here they are installed.
They will be coming back off to get painted black when the weather breaks.
I also cleaned the door latches and regreased them while I was in the doors. Wow what a difference that made. The power locks work everytime the first time. No more hitting the unlock 6 times to unlock the passenger door. 1 and done.
The measurements are correct. One set is pulled off of the front of the door and the other is from the front of the door handle. I measured everything 1000 times and drilled a small pilot hole. Installed the brace and shined a flashlight through to make sure I was lined up. After confirming location it was on to the step bit and install the mirrors. Pretty straightforward. Finished product pics are in my build thread. They will be coming back off to get painted in near future.
Trailer is less than ideal, but I would wager the limo is heavy enough to handle the load. Stopping it might be a little sketchy, especially in the snow......
Irony: towing the awd car on the trailer in the snow....
Could you possibly get some measurements on the tow mirror holes? And if possible where the braces for the tow mirrors inside the door mount?
I would also be interested in the flag mirror delete panels.
tps test values:
4.9V between terminals A/B
.7V between B/C with throttle closed.
Looks like it could use some adjustment but seems to be reading good when I sweep the throttle open it seems to be a nice smooth climb in voltage. Doesn't seem to jump around or blank out. Are the values far enough off I need to adjust it? Might be my cheap @$$ dvom also....
Didnt think about heat cycling. Ive had intake bolt issues with this truck before so its very plausible.
Tps seems like it would be a constant problem even when cold.
In the last week or so I have developed a high idle after the truck is warm. Everything is ok when cold. Once it starts to get even a little heat in the motor the idle settles in between about 1250 and 1500 and won't come down for nothing. Need suggestions. I'm pretty sure its a sensor issue somewhere.
