I am planning a aw4 swap in my truck at some point. There is more to it than some mention. Engine harness, shifter, shifter cable, tps, tcu, and driveshafts (maybe a differenct in the throttle body itself but I don't recall off hand) must all be addressed one way or another. I got an 89 auto trans engine harness and took the chance to go through it and cruisers tips eliminating poor factory connections and refreshing grounds. This was much eaisier to do on the bench. Its not a difficult swap' just alot involved.
