Where did you find a new cap? As far as I know renix era oil caps arent available new.

Please keep me updated if this fixes the oil cap. I have been trying everything and can't get my leak to stop......

Brake line looks much better in that pic. It was all camera angle. Cowl hoods are just plain cool.

We were refering to the stainless line the axle vent is zip tied to. That stainless line should have some slack to account for suspension droop. In the picture it appears to be almost taught.

I just did leds in mine also. Its nice to see stuff in the truck. Especially with the 2 in the overhead console lit.

Something doesn't seem right with the load sensing valve. How is the valve mounted? The rod should vertical and the valve above the diff. to function correctly. I only ask because it can effect your braking abilities. Don't want you to go drive it for the first time and not be able to stop as quick as anticipated.

So far all is well. I cut a load of firewood with it yesterday, and made it home safe. Lol. So far in really happy with the 4.10s. Although ive only put a few miles on them so far. There is one thing I can't live with and must addreess soon. Speedo is off. I didnt even think about changing speedo gears...... I think I need a 36 and it may have one on a shelf. Gonna have to go on a treasure hunt.

4.56 would be good with 33s. I just put 4.10 in mine with 31s and the seem about right.

I finished the front diff today. Was a little more challenging to get it right. But all said and done in happy. Havent test drove it yet. Waiting till morning for that. Sorry no pics this round. Was to focused on working.

I have returned home safely from the test drive all seems well. Now time for the front.....

Ok here is final pattern I think. This is with the setup bearings. Everything is set except carrier preload. Ill do that on final assembly.

I posted my first pattern pics in my build thread. Look ok? Seems good to me but can a guy really get that lucky on his first setup?

Well I got the housing cleaned up and all the stuff ready. Made my setup bearings today. Tomorrow morning I'm gonna dive into setup. Wish me luck......

Most i have seen use 4dr xj doors and modify to fit. But I believe it will still take heavy custom work to make them work.

Well I got a start on it yesterday. Look at this awesome pile of parts. Looks better than what came out. I began by disassembling the old and taking notes of shim sizes and locations. However I found my bearing seerator was too narrow. So I'm slightly delayed waiting on a new ones arrival. There was a mangled up pile of shims behind the outer opinion bearing. There were no shims for the carrier unless I'm just not seeing them. There were shims behind the cup for the inner opinion also but I didnt get pics of them. Today will be a chance to wash the housing and work on some other projects.

Slept well indeed. I can't touch the presents till the rug rat awakens from its slumber.
