seems like a lot of work was done for... that...

don't think even a set of good rims will save it. :(

OMG.  The side photo looked like a Studebaker.  The front showed the Chevy name and emblem that gave it away.

On the one hand, it's important to keep an open mind and recognize quality fabrication work that may not be visually appealing to you personally.

On the other hand...

Looks like a late model Camaro made to look like a 1957 Chevy.  Some younger generations have no idea what cars with style look like.

My two extra toys.

3 wrongs do not make a right I guess.

1. The wheels suck

2. 4 gen Camaro a ugly

3. I’m not a fan of 57 Chevys. They are over done, IMHO.

Are jacked up welds still allowed? Here's pictures of the roof replacement on my grandfather's Comanche, one of the big reasons I ended up deciding it was more trouble than it was worth to fix it.

It seems the truck got rolled or a tree fell on it at some point. The bed is not the original and this is the cobbled roof replacement. There's also about 3/8 if an inch of Bondo on the entire passenger b-pillar.

I'm not surprised at how much this sucks, nor how much Bondo was used on the pillar. I'm betting the crappy welding heat warped the metal. But, couldn't another, better, roof and pillars be pro-welded on, to replace that roof?

Yeah, decent welder could put on a better roof. But a badly warped frame, bad floors, a blown 2.8, a non original bed, and the rigamarole I'd have to go through to get a title since it got held up in the estate settlement 15 years ago makes the proposition not really appealing.

Honestly it'll mean just as much when I turn it into a camper trailer cause that's what he and I used the truck for when I was a kid.
