1986 2.8l V6 random stalling
grouch replied to quinn132's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Next time it dies on ya, pull the air cleaner off and see if the choke is open or closed. The choke electrical wire is brn w/ bl stripe and it goes to a relay second from the battery on the rt. fender. It's energized from the alt. when the motors running. -
I didn't hear that mentioned on the TV ads............

+Thank you Sir. The 57 was well used when I got it.. No motor, trans, interior 3 coats of paint holding the rust in. I did most of the work except for the finish body work and paint. The Excalibur is a factory original.

Got a reference site for ya. A lot of good stuff here. https://hoseeker.net/ As a kid my dad had some HO trains, my first job was at a hobby shop. Now I'm pushing 80 and still plays with toy trains. Also model cars and ships. I'm slowly working on a 1/100 wood ship, USS Constitution. Plus a slot racing track and the toys below. When your retired every day is Saturday.

This truck sits nice. It would look fine on rock or concrete.

I wrote a book in my spare time. It ended up with just under 50,000 words. Sent it to a publisher and they went for it. They did quite a review checking on spelling, proper tense and conformity to writing standards. It took almost a year to get it to print. My problem is that I'm not a promoter and haven't the slights idea how to market it. The publisher said they market books, but I think once they get it to Amazon plus several other on-line Co.'s and also make it available to retail bookstores they stop and it up to the author to push it.

Buy or build what ya want, but don't toss the moving boxes. The wife and I were native So Cal's until I retired. We have lived in So.Cal, Montana, Arizona, Colorado and now back in Montana. We've moved 10 times. We have lived in a comfortable 900 sq ft home to over 3000 sq ft house. Current house is 1750 with a 1700 finished basement for my model trains, model cars, slot racing track and minor ship building, We're on a hill with a clear view of the Bitterroot Mtn's to the north and west and Sapphire Mtn's to the east and south. Attached two car garage and just finished a 25x 40 three car garage. We still have our moving boxes stored away......

Pick up a can of Rust buster oil (it's in a little black bottle) or a little coca cola should eat the rust or as above a Nut Buster. Just don't force it...get a bigger hammer.
