We never use the rear seat in the FJ Cruiser, they’re always folded down to transport the dogs. Unfortunately when the seats are folded down the cargo area is not flat so I made a platform using prefinished 3/4” birch plywood. The platform is 64 1/2” long, going up close to the center console, I added filler pieces to the sides by the half doors to fill in the gaps and made brackets using 1/4” x 1 1/2” steel flat bar to support the front. Since my wife is short and has the seat far forward I made a filler piece behind the driver seat that folds up accommodating my seat position. I’ll add some 3” foam on top for the dogs’ comfort. Also added some stainless steel corner guard to the back edge for a touch of class.🤣

Purchased a 54" snow blower, for a zero turn of all things, and plan on electrifying it and mounting it to the front of a Japanese Kei truck.

Potentially, when I spoke with the dealer he said he was working on an M38.

It's my project, but I'm not doing much of the work so far:

40x40 with carports on each side.  Contractor is doing most of it so far.  I did do some clearing and driveway rough in work.  He will take it to...  I don't know, when I run out of money I guess.  Hopefully that's mostly finished.  It has space maker trusses so there's a storage area up top (not accessible from inside) and it will have a small washroom because it would be nice to have one that's accessible without going in the house.  I also put a beam in for an overhead hoist like my last shop.

Maybe I'll actually get back to vehicle projects when it is done. :dunno:

Had to replace the water pressure regulator valve for the house, also replaced the old main gate valve with a ball valve while I was there. 31 years took a toll on the old pressure valve.

Spent most of the summer redoing our front yard, hence no movement on Jeep stuff. And why not do it when its hotter than satan's nut sack......

Inherited a mess from the previous owners. Over the years it has just gotten worse and worse. I personally hate yard work/care more than anything. After the low snow and just deadness decided it was time to move on.  Goal was low to no maintenance and pollinator friendly plants, no grass anywhere.

What I started with, PO put up the wall and it was fn terrible, crooked, falling apart and ugly AF. Then they just had crap over growing everywhere.

Started removing the trash and getting to a clean slate.

Then started to take shape; grading, hardscaping, plant layout, turf base.

Finished product, went with all native plants that are drought tolerant for full sun. Rock and gorilla hair mulch. Nice piece of turf in the middle. Super happy with how it turned out and not having to spend a fortune, but took me a century, to quote my wife.
