  1. That is awesome dude! How can I get one of those? What kinda animal is that?
  2. Check it out Slugs. I was behind this truck yesterday that either painted or wrapped his truck in that EK2 color. Looking at it from this angle and live, I'm not sure I really want to go with this color anymore Don't know, just doesn't look "right". I did crack up at the sticker on his back windshield though.. "Porch Honkey"
  3. THE STICKERS HAVE ARRIVED!!!
  4. Hey Pete, Guess what?
  5. I saw! Pretty cool idea too! I'm not so much the purple though.
  6. Now you've got Dixie or Daisy stuck in my head!
  7. You're starting to read my mind now with the EK2 Slugger. Because I was also going to say earlier that to stick with that somewhat 80's type theme, I was going to get a Dixie Horn popped in! And this is how the craziness starts....
  8. For your name or the truck bud? lol
  9. Ok, so explain it to me slow because I'm not the brightest, and remember that as far a anything "mechanical", I'm re-learning everything from zero again. I buy 320's cluster , then get Boxy's conversion kit, and then I'll be able to use this cluster in my 89? That's what I'm understanding correct?
  10. Check it out below, Just things I'm pulling ideas from as far as color and such. lemme know your thoughts!
  11. I'm really likin the "Pearl/ Mini-Pearl" idea. Not so much the Eggy. Here's the thing though. I gotta give you guys the whole story on her when I start the "build" thread but you guys are either going to love me, or hate me for whatever I go with. I "accidently" ended up with this one. By fate it's almost exactly a replica of old "Nelly", (I LOVED/HATED HER) which I had to unfortunately give up when I left this group back in 08 I think it was. It's the one in my avatar from back in 08. Couple differences here and there but, I was flabbergasted at the coincidence. We're looking at a ONE OWNER truck with 246,000 original miles on it. I haven't even seen it in person yet. I had one of my "kids" go pick it up 90 minutes away on a whim which is what you see in the pictures on the flatbed. From the ad, I figured since it sat so long I'd just grab it, and on a small budget, little by little, bring it back to life (complete re-haul) , and just enjoy working on it for fun like my old one. All I knew so far at this point was one tire/rim doesn't match, needs a battery, and new battery cables. Still figured I'm going to completely tear it down and rebuild her. Kid brings it back to his garage and tells me yesterday, that honestly, besides what I just said, and a good pressure wash from sitting for so long, that's all it really needs to get up and get going. I was like "WOW". Anyway, I know perfectly well that 100 things will need replaced since it's been sitting so long. I'm waiting to actually see it "live" in the next couple days before I bring it home from his garage, but I'm at a loss on what to do with it. Part of me wants to keep it as stock and original as possible and just enjoy it for what it is. Besides finding something like the wheels I used to have because I liked the look and stance, I wasn't going to change anything major and just drive it around for fun. My old one was "re-painted" white by the owner before me with an actual house paint roller and it was bubble gum and duct taped together and I loved her. Figured this would be the same since they are so alike. Then..... PArt of me see's everyone else's builds and I want to go buck wild. You guys have all done so much and so many things new that we never did 20 years ago. So many awesome, cool trucks and ideas as I go thru so many other people's pages. I always loved when everyone switched out the front clip to the "newer" 91+ style and how clean and neat they looked. I was thinking the same and kinda changed my mind now. I wanna really go with like a weird 80's wild vibe. Was thinking Marty McFly's Toyota from Back to the Future with the bigger tires, roll bar, KC lights and so on. Then instead of white like original and like my old one, go with a really vibrant color. Everyone around here is kinds "blah". All their vehicles on the road here are white, gray, black, blue, you get it right? I'm originally from Miami , FL and wild color was always the norm back in the 80's. I'm not going to do pink or turquoise or anything like that though. Was thinking a bright candy apple red or variant of orange. Yellow's been used a lot on Wranglers so I wanted to go different. I dunno. Just thoughts running thru my head for right now. I'll post up some different pics of ideas and colors and wheels I started looking at in the next post so you guys kinda get an idea of which direction I'm looking at. That why I was thinking that if I go with like a bright as heck, glossy, candy apple red, then calling her "Pearl would be kinda weird wouldn't it? lol I dunno. Check out the pics I post next and lemme know what your thoughts are please? Good or bad. I like to hear everyone's opinions. Thanks!
  12. Lovin it!
  13. I'm thinking feminine. My thoughts are on like, "Eleanor" from the 1974 film Gone in 60 Seconds. HAven't figured out exactly which way I'm going with getting the truck back up and moving yet. Have a couple different ideas but, I'm leaning more toward it being like one of my daughters. So, let's just go with "Woman".
  14. Ozark, Love this steering wheel. Mind me asking where you got it?
  15. Love the M3 pizzaman. Looks great and I bet a blast to drive! Enjoy!
  16. Man, I am loving the use of the rocks in the front yard Smokey! I too, have decided to go aww-nah-too-rahl and use nature's natural pavers to frame by garden beds. I don't wanna brag but, I have been working on this bad boy for almost TEN years now and almost have one "wall" completely done! YES!!!
  17. WAIT!!! I just thought of something, What if Chico decides to paint this truck a different color? Half the names on the list so far wouldn't make sense. People would start to think Chico has the same color blindness problem that Pete does! Take that into account everyone. Ok, Carry on with your days now....
  18. Liking it... liking it. Keep em coming!
  19. EGGSELLENT SUGGESTIONS SLUGMAN! (Seriously now, what works better for you? Fiat? Slug? Lug? I'm having a hard time figuring out what to call you.) Change of plans to the rules for this competition! We will make a list of all names suggested during the 168 hours, back timing to when this contest was originally posted. At the strike of midnight, on hour 169, Pete will compile a list, long list, and everyone, (all 3 of us so far), will vote on our favorite to name... Pete, figure out how to do this will ya? I know you're bored and need extra to do. So far we have Isabella REd Tan (that's just weird Pete, why can't you just try and act normal sometimes man) PEarl (Thanks for keeping with the feminine motif!) Stormtrooper (just forget this one..) Casper (Not bad, can be construed as both masculine and feminine) Sailable (Props to you for using the English language 87, nope that name for you isn't not working for me either) The choice is yours, but choose wisely my friends....
  20. I'M ON IT SLUG!! GET ME A NAME IN THE MEANTIME!!!!
  21. WRONG ATTITUDE PETE-O. NO FREE CC HOODIE FOR YOU THEN!! Come on man. Let's get creative here kids.
  22. Fiat, you are the man! Now, I just have to look around and find a junkyard 91+ HO, 4 liter, engine, engine wiring harness, dash wiring harness, front clip, air freshener, bucket seats, headliner, steering wheel, adjustable column, inside door panels, window cranks, and corresponding front dash pieces and I'll be good to go. NOT A PROBLEM! Thanks bud!
