  1. What is everyone's opinions on these? What are the differnces between red, yellow, and blue? Is there really an advantage on buying one of these over a regular old battery?
  2. Hey guys, Anyone know where I can pick up that axle stub? I went to Advanced and Autozone yesterday and neither one had it or can get it.
  3. THAT'S GREAT MAN!!!!! :clapping: and thank God Cause I was getting tired of running to autozone :rotfl2:
  4. I just posted this on another thread but it's about the same. That's the sender DR.Thunder modified, by the way, I think. Calling Dr. Wildman, please post or report to surgery in Room 6 stat.
  5. Yeah, no, I went thru this problem a while ago. Nobody has a new carrier/sending unit as far as I know even though everyone will try to tell you they are the same for the XJ/MJ. (They are not.) IIRC Dr. Thunder modified one but I can't remember how. You'll have to search the forum for it, and I don't think he ever made a write up. Also if IIRC Wildman has a write-up on how to refurbish the senders and I even think he'll send you a rebuilt one. Sorry If I'm wrong about that being you Wildman. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Or you could post up a WTB ad in the classifieds for the correct sender (hopefully in good condition) and just buy the actual pump new from the store.
  6. Nope, I'm pretty sure this one was my own stupidity. I knew my caliper was sticking a bit, but I had a cheese emergency and had to deliver a little bit under 1/2 a ton of mozzarella to an account 40 minutes away and had no way of jamming that much cheese into the back of my corolla. I keep trying to tell my boss that he needs to pay for at least parts, but the guy just keeps cussing at me in Sicilian and slapping me in the back of the head.
  7. In my best Clinton voice "I did not have relations with that woman." And Smitty... Congrats from all of us   :clapping: :needpics: of the baby 2 morrow.
  8. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Truck's been sitting for about 6 months now. I just finally got around to tearing it apart yesterday. It's been sitting so long I can't even do aemsee's trick because the battery is so dead I can't even get it to start to do it :rotfl2: By the way, thanks for the tip aemsee
  9. I say give the vinegar a try. Whaddya have to lose? I will, definitely, but I was being serious. Red Wine Vinegar or White vinegar?
  10. Did you replace with new, OEM spec? After installation, have you verified that everything actually works? Some t-stats have been known to come defective from the factory. Does your WP spin the right direction? I've had numerous people tell me to run vinegar in the system for a day or two to help dissolve any blockages. Maybe you have some blockages inside the block? Just about everything came from Brent's dealer. I changed the T-stat out 2 or 3 times. WP is the correct one. Never heard of the vinegar thing. Red wine or white :rotfl2: I wouldn't doubt the blockage issue. The engine has over 220,000 with probably a horrible maintence record from the PO's. I gave up on trying to get it to run perfectly. I'll just wait to put a new used engine it. Sorry for the hi-jack OP.
  11. Thanks for the replies guys. As far as usage, the farthest this truck has been off road is running over the curb in my front yard, once. IIRC this one came from NAPA. I have to check my reciepts to make sure. I'd really like to never have to change it again. Usually I'd get it from Brent but the bastard decided on a career change :rotfl2: Any suggestions on an excellent quality one I can get so I don't have to replace it again in another year? Oh, and can I just replace this one side with a heftier one for right now or will I have to do both at the same time?
  12. I changed absolutely everything that had to do with the cooling system and nothing ever made a difference. I even used that bottle from macs. I never overheated but ran hot constantly. Only thing that ever kept the temp down was putting the aux fan on a switch and runnning the HVAC on high, hot or cool to keep the fluid moving. That keeps it at 210 now or close. That water wetter never made a difference in mine.
  13. Hey guys, some questions. What's the official name of this part? It's the smaller shaft closer to the hub. The u-joint is kaputz. It was only a year old. Should I get a better one from somewhere special, or will the local auto parts store carry a good replacement? If you look at the next pic you'll see how it went to crap and ruined that shaft by making the hole an oval instead of a circle. Last, it was a pain to get the hub off the knuckle. It took me a good hour with PB Blaster and wedging a pick between the two with a hammer to get it off. If I have to do the other side, does anyone know of a better way without ruining the hub and destroying the dust shield.
  14. That happened to me a while back. It was a new balancer I bought off E-Bay. (Made in China). It would make a horrible noise like something in the bottom end of the engine was going. Replaced it with an OEM (Made in the USA, and I think Brent got it for me.), one and never had the problem again. Here's the thread on it a while back. Somewhere in there is a video of the noise it was making. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11865

I would agree with that. It's just like clothes on short fat people (me), don't wear horizontal stripes! :clapping: Wait, you're fat? I thought that was the blowfishes fault. I like the green.
  18. Spelling is automatically and continuously checked in Firefox. :D (I sometimes have to tell it where new text boxes are, but it's very good at remembering after that) So there's no way to do it with IE?

  22. Listen, Just do what I did and release the e-brake, wait till you here the UPS guy coming down the road, and forcefully push the sucker out into the middle of the street at the exact time the brown guy rolls thru. Or just call your local JY and have them pick it up and crush it. And then while your at it........... Sell your wife to the Russians for that mail-order bride program they have, Trade the twins to the Chinese Triads for some drugs, Give that wierd looking dog you have back to the pound, AND BURN THAT BLOODY ASTRO TURF IN YOUR YARD. not that I'm jealous that it looks much nicer than my weed infested lawn. But it if you decide to sell it extremely cheap, my number is 555-555-1234.
