  1. so, there's 3 different ones plus you can find me an original?
  2. Thanks guys, appreciate the help! What I'm actually looking for is a good site to order OEM parts for my JL. I apologize for not explaining myself better last night. There's a slew of options when I searched. Just asking if anyone has a "favorite" over the others. Ease of use...fair pricing...live customer service... fairly quick shipping. Things like that. What I meant to say by "useful help" was from the actual online retailers, not fellow Jeepers on other sites. I'm on a couple sites, here and there. Honestly, the few that I frequent are definitely ok. None quite like this one though. The "goofballs" there are one of the main reasons I hardly ever interact. They are a very small percentage of the groups but, they irk me wildly. It hits a cord with me when some someone new to the brand asks a simple question simply because they're just starting, and then get ridiculed relentlessly, and the moderators don't stop it right away. I understand they can't get to every post fast enough and I just want to "hit back" but, got old and finally learned it's not worth it. Never see that problem here. It's really why I like this site, and put up with Pete's shenanigans.
  3. Forget the injectors. I might be wrong but the ones I pulled up that I think we put in 20 years ago are running $500 for the set. I'll have to check again in the morning when I can read clearly but that price is unbelievable and not worth the money IMHO.
  4. Looks great! Man, don't quote me but, back 20 years ago, I think i put in the same fuel injectors a Ford 5.0 was using and they worked great and were relatively cheap at the time. Lemme see if I can pull up the old info from 20 years ago and I'll get back to you.
  5. Fantastic acquisition story bud! Great to see an MJ transferred from one loving family to the next! Puts tears in my eyes.. Hold my beer again Wahoo.. Damn, I really missed you guys, Ok, gimme my beer back Wahoo..
  6. Pete, WAke up mehn. It's not even Friday yet. I can't believe you're asleep right now
  7. I'm having so many issues dealing with people after the pandemic. I'm not exactly sure what the root of the problem is but, for some reason, I swear, people have become, not the smartest. All I'm looking for is a place that actually has customer service, not transferred to somewhere in Asia, that can explain a couple brake related questions to me about my JL so, I can order the correct parts, since the two dealers here, are (again, not so nice a couple words..). Thanks in advance if you can recommend a good, trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable, REAL site! WAhoo, hand me back my beer..
  8. Mission accomplished Fiat. I figured out how to "message"...
  9. We'll try that, Thanks me friend! Now... I just have to figure out how to message him. Hold my beer Wahoo...
  10. hmmmmm, Marty, fire up the DeLorean. I take it contacting him isn't an option anymore.. 2011
  11. Now how do I get the CC stickers for the back glass again? Anyone know?
  12. Ok, Amsuco, I think I did this correctly. I just ordered this weekend's canned lite beer funds worth of stuff, so Wahoo.... You're paying for the beer this weekend. Again, burp.....
  13. So, I remembered I got these from a guy on here. "LEadnotFOllow" I believe was his name. ANyone know if he's still around? I looked around on the net and can't seem to find these GAmbler knockoffs anywhere. Wanted to see if anyone knew who made them, or the size and offset, because I liked the way they stuck out past the fenders a little with no spacers. I can't seem to find the post or message where I bought them from him on here, and he mailed them to me. Pete, wanna invade my privacy and figure it out for me by looking thru my posts and messages? I give you my permission to do so if you can. I remember he had like a green rattle canned MJ, on maybe 35"s and some sort of online shop too back in the day.
  14. Did you make it to this 87MJTIM? I didn't get to go, due to some $%#@^&. HEard a lot of reviews. Some good. Some bad. From what I read across a couple different places, it sounded like a good time to me. Sad I missed it.
  15. Thanks TEx06, appreciate the offer but I've currently shaken "old school, spit hands," with another Comanche owner on probably buying his. Told him to take his time on finalizing the deal because that's how us old people are. lol. If it falls thru though, I'll let you know. Much appreciated! Also, NOLA? New Orleans? Is that what it stands for? I've never been good with the abbreviations so please excuse the question in advance amigo. Thanks!
  16. MOST important thing.... "If you've decided to own a Jeep Comanche and haven't already done so, make sure you sign up @ Comancheclub.com." I've been skimming over 100's of everyone's posts I've missed in the last two decades, and the amount of information you all have recorded over time is simply amazing. I'm serious. You all are awesome! Last Friday I got forced to show up at a work meeting and stand up in front of the 100 people/ elementary class type situation. I was then grilled on "what should we do next? " type questions. I brought this forum and all you guys up and explained to them that, if they all could even do half the job with their crap that you guys do here, 97% of all their problems would be resolved. They I said some other stuff. So then the President got up and I handed the microphone back to him. He thanked me for my time and frank assessment of things. He also told me I didn't have to come back to a monthly meeting for another two years again. Worked out all around.
  17. It's actually funny you said that because I was just reading around and saw your post on the other thread a couple days ago. Couple weeks ago I bought a hard top lift for my JL from a guy in Gettysburg and he told me about it. I'm hoping to go on the 15th also but, I'm dropping my daughter off for her first year at college in Westchester on the 20th, so need to make sure I have all that packed up and ready to go before I can do anything else. I'll let you know if I can make it though. Thanks!
  18. Aha! Yes Fiat, I do slightly remember that now. They were knockoff Gamblers. Deeper dish than the official ones, bigger holes, and heavier. See, I love it when things come back half-baked. I'll start researching that way. Thanks Fiat!
  19. Spent a few hours tonight reading thru some old posts and found my old "build thread". In all honesty, it wasn't really a "build thread" i found out, more of a "Trying to get this sucker back on the Road" thread. Interesting enough, I learned a couple things already, again. Disclaimer; I lost a lot of my memory a few years ago when I unknowingly passed out at the top of a flight of stairs, and fell backwards, bouncing my larger than normal head, off a tile floor. Wasn't a big deal. Ruined some of my buddy's wife's towels she had to use to soak the the growing pool of blood oozing out the side of my noggin. I hadn't realized what happened and my buddy said I sprung back up like a Mexican jumping bean after a couple minutes, but he made me lay back down to wait for the ambulance he had called. He later said the ambulance ride was a bit hectic because first, the paramedic tried to steal the wallet out of my front side pocket, (he was just looking for ID he said), so I stabbed his hand with my Benchmade, and then the other paramedic cut my favorite $5 T-Shirt with a pair of scissors, so i stabbed his hand too. I don't remember much of it. Ended up with 4 staples to the head, one of which I think is still in there causing more issues, and a diagnoses, from a wonderful 4'8" Lady Chinese doctor, of dehydration. Point is, I can't remember some of the old stuff, so work with me here. It was either the fall, or the copious amounts of marijuana I used to smoke before these rat bastard politicians killed the joy and made it legal everywhere, that seems to be the cause of the memory loss. Let's move on... 1) I bought me old Manche in 2007 and did like a 100 maintenance things to it trying to get it back on the road. I don't remember doing any of it, or how to even do them anymore, so I'll need help somewhere down the line on the next Manchers. 2) Read a couple 100 posts on overheating and replacing the overflow tank back then. Funny because now, in 2026, I'm doing the exact same thing with a couple 1000 other people, changing out the plastic reservoir tank, to an aluminum Mishimoto, with all new aluminum fittings instead of plastic ones, on my 2019 JLU, THAT ONCE AGAIN I SEE IS A PROBLEM WITH JEEP 3) I remembered I really liked the look of the wheels I had on the MJ before I lost it. Bought them off a guy on here. Not sure he's here anymore. So after that long winded blah-blah, Anybody remember the name of these wheels below, or what they were called, or where I can find them for sale again? thnaks in advance!
  20. Heck ya boys! What up Kid and Neo! Shippensburg Kid?!?! I didn't know you were that close to me. I'm about an hour east of you in Camp Hill, right on the west side of the R.I.O Susquehana. Now I know who to call when I can't figure out how to take a tire off!!
  21. UPDATE!!!!!!! Press the pause button on the search everyone! Pete, call back the Bloodhounds and the Beagles. I'm about to go into intense negotiations with a very knowledgeable, current MJ owner, the details of which I can not publicly discuss due to a signed NDA. Wahoo, hold my beer. Remember, If I'm not out in the next 15 minutes, just leave and hang with the fam but, come back later dude because I probably won't legally be allowed to drive, and I gotta get home. Wish me luck everyone!
  22. Wahoo, that black one looks really nice and, 89MJ, I'm in complete agreement dude but, Remember, it's me we're talking about. Like you said, if it is solid, it would be completely unfair to any good, hard working, responsible person that wants to have a nice MJ to maintain , and enjoy , if I bought it first. What I'm searching for is a true classic, an important piece of history, a legend, even a fabled unicorn if you will...... plus, that one is currently outta my budget right now unfortunately. Not all of us have the "dinero" that summaobit ole Wahoo have. What the heck is wrong with the tan couch mjeff?!?!?! After my 3rd warm beer last night, I was two sheets to the wind, and passed out on it face down! You guys think I should go get checked or something?
  23. I think I'm doing something wrong. The link takes me to the "front page" of that group but I don't see anything for sale.
