  1. I was wondering where your truck was. love it! and I'm more than happy to change the title if you want to.
  2. on the bigger side of this build, I'm now contemplating swapping in 4.10 geared axles (keeping IFS) from a 2.4 Libby. I mean, I'll have the entire suspension torn apart anyways when I do the lift, right? seems a no-brainer to me but finding a front 4.10 is an excruciating exercise in futility. It has to be from an 02-05 2.4L with 4wd. Seeing as they discontinued the 2.4 for 06-07, I can't imagine Jeep built too many of them.
  3. don't sweat it

  5. ahhhh, the wondrous sound of boost hey, now that there's a new heart in the beast, would you like to start a new Epic Tech thread?
  6. Stay strong, Don! We're all pullin' for ya
  7. got myself a mini light bar for the front bumper of the Libby, a fuse/relay box and some brighter bulbs for the roof lights.
  8. apparently ends tonight midnite PT https://www.ebay.com/rpp/december-dozen?mi_gen=M&mi_fm_seg=12&mi_dd_sub=0&placement-type=banner&mi_ff_sub=0&mi_u=43193674729&mi_date=20181215091000&co=7&TemplateId=20bd7dcc-f793-4bb5-a9d9-66a644ccc59c&TemplateVersion=224&campaign-id=90001&TrackingCode=32TE73001_T_AGM&run-date=20181215091000&crd=20181215091000&campaigncode=32TE73001_T_AGM&placement-type-name=banner.top.desktop
  9. all other things being equal (power availability, quality, space occupied, cost) I can't think of any reason to do 2 instead of 1. now, if it was substantially cheaper somehow, or you could fit more power into a non-standard space (I've seen a "second" battery done with 2 smaller batts tucked into weird spaces in a wrangler) then I could see it as an upgrade. But there needs to be an upgrade in there somewhere.
  10. I can understand that. but grounds and power are more common than a complete breakdown.
  11. If the box isn't melted, you might be able to re-pin it. if you're extra ambitious, you could even take lots of pics as you go and do a writeup for the DIY forum
  12. nice! is it the photo or is the clearance really that tight between the steering and the headers? what are you using for a rear axle?
  13. Tech questions should really go in Tech so more eyeballs will see them (not everyone checks the projects) if your fuse box has corrosion issues, you may have to bite the bullet and replace it. but before that check the bulb sockets of all affected lights too. corrosion inside can do weird things. new grounds to the dash can be run and mounted more or less wherever is convenient. Have you run through Cruiser's Tips? have you checked the reverse light switch for continuity?
  14. are your wipers running slow?
  15. ordered a switch panel. I want to try and fit it into the little removable panel on the left where the factory roof light switch would be. I figure I'll need switches for -winch lights -extra reverse lights (still working on where I could put them) -overhead inners -overhead outers (if I go with that plan) -extra (anti-theft?) still contemplating what relay box to go with. where these little guys were mounted:
  16. love it! be sure to put a post in Tech too. it gets way more eyeballs.
  17. can you do a writeup for the DIY forum on this? there's a guy in Tech that just asked about it.
  18. complex engine swaps qualify for sure
  19. installed the grille before heading out for the day.
  20. keep at it! it's going to be a great truck when it's done
