  1. ahh, yes. the joys of old jeeps.
  2. wow, that bend was a challenge. 5 sections!
  3. you can post questions about videos in the pub. I imagine someone would have the answer.
  4. love the light! vid doesn't show though.
  5. Moog makes a good product. stock stuff works great on a stock truck, but I would upgrade to the v8 ZJ drag link. (or was it the tie rod?) one of those comes extra beefy on the v8 ZJs and is a bolt-in upgrade.
  6. "feel the power loss"? eek. the only extra thing spinning is the front shaft and ring gear. make sure everything spins freely.
  7. the fuel pump ground to the taillight ground. make sure it's connected (or take this opportunity to add in a new ground closer to the fuel pump) you should probably put the diagram request in the Tech forum so more eyes will see it. I'm sure someone has something.
  8. good stuff! it's really coming along nicely. I remember when my truck looked like that. Just a Jeep explosion of parts!
  9. a corroded socket can cause weird things too. look inside each one to make sure it's clean.
  10. it might depend on the specific brand. the stock suspension is the same, but the mounting points on the body are different between XJ and MJ and it all depends on how the lift's control arm brackets attach to the body.
  11. nice!!! be sure to give it its own build thread!

  13. it is highly recommended as bubbles in the master are real hard to remove.
  14. nah, you've still got some good steel there!
  15. sweet! can you find a part number anywhere on it?
  16. it's still in the mail, but this is heading my way 700lb-ft! bring it on you rusted bolts!
  17. did you bench-bleed the master before installation?
  18. I just installed a badlands 5k on my liberty for the same sort of reasons. so far I've used it precisely once... to drag hundreds of pounds of construction waste (in a Bagster) up an long grassy incline to the street. did the job well. one side note though, as with a lot of Harbor Freight items, the first one refused to operate (pretty sure it was a bad solenoid) but I returned the whole enchilada and got another that works fine.
  19. I can't seem to find a pic of what I mean (and I don't have an older t-case here to check), but if you look at the various gears, they are different diameters. the assembly rotates in an oblong circle to push the gear shaft closer or further from the drivetrain so as to give proper contact. it sounds like yours is just a bit too far from engagement.
  20. pretty sure it'll still have markings and rotates to engage the teeth properly and then locks down in its spot.
  21. really? I assume the van is from the 80s?
