Dzimm
Both bought and remain in central Iowa. Bought in Sep 2016 - 1990 Eliminator 4.0 4X4 rusty floors and rear wheel wells, no rust anywhere else. Couple small dents. Had a bad spray paint job over factory paint. Was stripped down to a roller with a mostly complete engine in it, trans/tcase delivered separately. Came with almost all the parts for a 97+ swap crammed in the cab and bed. Prior salvage title. Bought and delivered to my house for $1,000. Bought in Aug 2018 - 1992 Sportruck 4.0 AX15 2WD. PO had replaced floors, had rusted out bedsides and cab corners, faded paint, faded trim, and cracked windshield. Otherwise was in good shape. Clean title. Paid $1,300. Currently I'd value both in the $6k-$8k range in the local market.

NHMJXJ
88 Eliminator 2WD 118K miles, auto, A/C- 2003 winning bid on eBay $1400.13 ($380 transport) ... Straight, clean, 0 rust, pristine interior. Paint was toast. Had intentions of restoring it, but ... sold in 2012 with the same paint for $2800. Saw it for sale on CL a few years later and someone had painted P40 flying tiger graphics on both front fenders? 90 Pioneer 4WD long box, 126K, auto, A/C. Paid $2500 plus transport in 2012. Older repaint (10 footer), swapped the bench for buckets. Put some MOABs on it. I didn't drive it much. Rust got ahead of me and figured I'd buy a better foundation to work from. Sold it locally for ... $2800! Current MJ; 88 Pioneer 4WD short box, 134K, auto, A/C. As close to zero rust as you could get from the factory. Paid too much, plus transport. I parked it next to the 90 and swapped everything I wanted. POR'd the sh*t out of the interior floor after removing anything with a brown tinge. Sadly, had to have the transmission rebuilt a month after I had the truck painted. Put a mix of NOS and aftermarket chrome up front, an NOS rear bumper and drawtite hitch in the back. They're never done. While everthing has a price, it's not for sale.

ghetdjc320
This post just reinforces how few HOs there are. Bought mine for 3500. Bad motor, brakes, rust and no interior. Sunk 20+k and counting and countless hours into it. If i was selling i wouldnt take less than 20k. Only thing id trade for is a tjr brute.

Chad R
I payed $1350 for my 86 base 2wd automatic from Daveysjeeps in February 2020. The floor pans were very bad but the rest of the truck was pretty clean and the paint looks decent at 10ft.

Minuit
'91 4.0 SporTruck with AW4 and A/C as only other options - with an "engine knock" that was just loose flexplate bolts, dead fuel pump, and a heavily smoked in interior - $75 in 2012 as part of an "if you get it running, it's yours" arrangement. The paint was even half decent at the time.
89 MJ
$1,200 in MN with some extra parts. 4x4, D30, D35, 4.0, 5 speed, not running, rusty floors (only rust on it), needs doors, header panel, and front fenders (damaged).
BeatCJ
1987 Base 2wd 5 speed, Colorado Red, Tan interior, no stripes. Not running, but cranks good for $1200. Appeared to have sat for 8 years, carpets had been lifted and very little rust on the floorpans. Good paint for a Northern California truck. A few minor dents. Was offered $2700 after I started driving it.
