Made a couple of sill plates out of aluminum diamond plate for it. All diamond plate was too much bling so I inlaid a portion of Grand Cherokee stainless sill plate.

Today I installed 2 pair of 6.5" Kenwood speakers and used Boxy Jeep's brackets for the rear cab corners.

Great to be able to put a bigger speaker back there and not see them but you sure do hear them!

I wanted Apple CarPlay and Walmart sells this cheap $150 unit and so far it is working great.

A dremel made quick work of opening up the dash.

That's a nice little head unit!  I'm usually a vintage head unit fan but I like that, it's clean and has a dedicated volume knob.

I found out the "worm" gear from an electric window regulator can be made to fit a manual one. It's been a long time since I could open my window all the way. :comanche:

I think you’re going to have to create a thread on this and tell us more

Haha, as always, I wish I took better pictures, mid-process.

I think that worm came out of a 97+ XJ, possibly even a rear door, but I pulled it from a junkyard like 3 years ago. Maybe someone can recognize the window attachment part and confirm?

My Dude is out here speaking the truth.

Spraying silicone lube in my manual worm gear is like a 5% improvement. Its embarrassing to roll down my driver window and it sounds like a 1980s kitchenaid mixer missing a few teeth on low.
You rock for the suggestion.

I installed 2" lift up front with adjustable track bar and upper and lower control arms on my 1988 MJ.

The adjustable control arms are not needed with a 2" lift but it was the fastest way to replace the old bushings.

All suspension and steering items have been replaced including the steering box. 38 years is a long time!

Went with a 265/75/16" Nitto Ridge Grapler AT and put 1.5" wheel spacers in the rear to match the front.

No clearance issues in the front with this size tire. Next is to Fluid Film every inch under it to keep it rust free.
