  1. It's cut and fold I believe, I can take a better look and get pictures tomorrow
  2. So I went and pulled some MJ rear flares, the metal mounting points are all rusted and shot. Could I just drill into the side my bed (what's left of it) and mount them with the plastic tabs the bolts go through?
  3. I agree, I think they're awesome but they're also quite huge. They might not look the best with 35s, I'd probably have to run at least 37s so they don't look ridiculous. Whatever I end up doing, I might try to mount them with what I have left of the original bed
  4. This is great information, thank you. I was leaning towards sanding down stock MJ flares, looks great and seems like the easiest route.
  5. In this picture I'm running 35s and I don't think I'll go any bigger than that. Maybe I'll be able to sand down oem MJ flares to look more like the newer XJ flares?
  6. The original flare mounting points are gone, my bed was cut by PO. I really don't want armor, and I would really like an OEM look. The two options I thought of were 1. Notch Customs fiberglass flares or 2. Create fiberglass flares using 97-01 fenders, since I already did a 97-01 front end conversion and I have some laying around. Only stipulations are that the Notch flares are a pretty penny, and I'm not sure how I'd mount flares if I made them myself. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!

  8. Looking to sell my bed rack and roof rack. Have all of the hardware for both. Asking $200 for the roof rack and $600 for the bed rack. For reference, the bed rack is on a short bed Comanche. Located in PA 17832.
  9. Updates so far. Full service, along with new oil pan, oil pan gasket, and rear main seal. I also sanded down and painted the axles and some of the suspension components. Went ahead and redid the 97-01 front end so I can have flares and also spliced in the wiring for the marker lights. Purchased Comanche #2 to poach the interior, and it is cleaning up extremely nice! Headliner reupholstered with a wine colored suede, matches close enough for $12! Floor pans next...
  10. Finally purchased my dream truck '88 Jeep Comanche. It's rough around the edges (literally, the whole truck is Rhinolined) but with some hard work and patience it will be looking great!   12. Spliced in a 97-01 header panel harness and rewired my auxiliary fan and transmission cooler fan on the same switch on my dash. Swapping in a cordavan interior, cleaned up nice! Going to do floor pans before the rest goes in.

  15. It is a newer steering column. I believe it's 95-96 with tilt, I just put a 3 spoke wheel on and a full cords on interior in the works. Frankenstein Comanche.
  16. For starters, I have a 1988 Jeep Comanche with a 1992 Cherokee 4.0. My turn signals do not work with the switch/arm. PO did the 97-01 front end swap and never wired in the side markers only the headlights. I thought it was a short because the old Comanche sockets were laying in there with no bulbs. This past weekend I got a new header panel and spliced in the 97-01 wiring harness. All lights work, still no signals. Then checked fuses, missing the two relays so I tried to plug two in but they don't click into anything. Could the fuse box just not be wired? I also have a random plug hanging from my steering column, any ideas?
