  1. What does the 97 console look like? I would have loved having the handbrake in the console rather than the footwell.
  2. My upholstery shop lost the seat back reclining lever. Looking for a replacement. Thanks!
  3. Thank you! I'll look into it. My console has a piece of plastic broken off where the lid latch would hold on to. Haven't delved into that yet.
  4. Seats are back in and they look awesome. Took the truck out for a drive after it has been sitting idle for almost 2 months. It all feels great! The console lid was crappy so I ordered another on eBay. It arrived today and it completes the look although these pics are before I installed it.
  5. Interested but live in Ozark MO. (65721 zip) (Silver preferred if it is dent/rust free)
  6. Someone overtightened the center bolt of my oil filter adapter and it is concave. Is there a source for new replacements? I had to remove mine to get the motor mount bolt out. Both my engine mounts were destroyed and original.
  7. Thank you! Yes, that is the tunnel boot but this one is the shifter kit. I did replace the tunnel boot with the one linked. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BX67SZ3M?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
  8. I've been tinkering with the truck as weather permits. Truck sits in a metal shop so if it's 90º out, its about 130º in the shop so its been slow progress. I replaced the padding, put new shifter spacer where mine was disintegrated along with new rubber shifter dust cap. Can't believe that change alone and how it made the shifter feel so solid again. I had sent out the seatbelts to get new webbing as mine were just disgusting from age. All new LED bulbs and painted the bare rusted under dash metal parts flat black. Looks like a new under there. I also replaced my steering column as it was all jacked up. Super happy I can turn the key to accessory to listen to the radio and have wipers work again let alone high beams! Hopefully I will get the seats back this week. We bought a 2024 Model 3 Tesla and that car has been fun to drive. My wife needed a new set of wheels and since it can drive itself, she is happy.
  9. Yes, but I think I can find something at Home Depot to make work.
  10. https://www.lndsolutions.org/?gad_source=1&shop_consented_scopes=email%3Averified+openid+pay%3Asession_token+profile+shop%3Aaccount_uuid&shop_sign_in=true
  11. Does anyone make the gasket that goes under the B pillar black plastic vent covers? I want to get my truck painted so I removed them. At the same time one side was missing the rubber vent flaps but I found those on eBay.
  12. So this is what I ordered. 8078 Dark Gray. New next to old along with a piece of trim. (Ordered through Amazon)
  13. I ordered dark grey but haven't opened the box to check it yet. Been in my shop for two weeks. I have the same interior color as you. I can post back tomorrow. Bought it from Amazon as it seemed to be the best price. Same company supplying it too.
  14. Yes, the rubber nipple was tight. Put a dab or grease and I mean a hint! Working on interior as I am A.D.D. and can't sit still at one aspect.
  15. Started on the interior renovation. Rebuilt steering column is on the way as mine was pretty jacked up. Seats are at an upholstery shop getting the same fabric that was on it. Shop had a roll of it from way back when! I will remove seat belts and send them off since they do not retract well and are very grimy. I have new carpet to put in. Also waiting on some dash bits so I can close that up. While that's going on, I am working on the engine with all vac hoses being replaced. Tapped and threaded throttle body for permanent vacuum to map sensor fix. I can only work for short moments as my shop building is hotter than an oven.
  16. Thanks for the updated numbers. All ordered. Throttle body is tapped and threaded.
  17. My ride was considerably larger than all of these here and had a much more powerful two stroke Detroit Diesel engine. It was all I could afford ;)
  18. Maybe it's just me since I hadn't owned an older car since my TR6 but I sometimes feel the steering has a bit of play. Thinking about 1-1.5" each side of the wheel before tire movement. Took my truck for some shiny new wheels at the shop and had them check it. Said it's all good. I am wondering if the lower steering shaft might be introducing some play. I did not go out to check it but asking you all, Ya'll, Yoo'se what you think. Perhaps I need to go back inside and take down some Cognac or Buffalo Trace to fuggetaboutit. Edit: While I am at the questions stage, Do the steering columns on the manual trasmissioned trucks have an accessory position where the key gets turned one notch counter clockwise from lock to allow the radio to work? Mine doesn't do that...
  19. I don't know what the actual size of the nipples on the truck are but I think this one is it. Not sure. I agree on not using Dorman. I've read alot of online reviews on how it comes apart in a short time span. This one I found online looks very close to what I think we have. They are sold in 25 or more quantities. I don't care so long as it will last!
  20. Thanks! Honestly, I am surprised it didn't sell sooner. PO says there were many tire kickers and low ballers. I offered less and we negotiated to a perfect number. To be honest, I acted quickly knowing there were alot of junky trucks out there. I can fix mechanical, but I can't do body work. The less it needed the hopefully more affordable the paint.
  21. Does anyone know where I could source new vacuum elbows that aren't made in china? I see Autozone may have them by Dorman but the reviews are not thrilling with some people saying they dry up and split quickly. I am trying to renew all the vacuum lines for reliability even though the truck runs good now. Some of the fittings are really loose.
  22. I get it why people remove the valve but with a truck that has no A/C, I would rather try to keep the residual heat away from the interior! My wife thought I was crazy to buy something with no A/C. At first I was thinking about retrofitting in a stock system but the more I thought about it, I am not into making this more complex. We left AZ two years ago and living in SouthWest MO, the humidity and temps are nowhere near my upper tolerance levels!
  23. Fixed the seized speedometer and lubed it up. Continued on to replace a broken speedometer cable. I jacked up the truck from the rear thinking the speedo gear was stripped and prepared myself to remove it while keeping most of the gear oil tipped towards the front. Ended up the cable snapping itself right at the trans output drive. Thankfully not a big deal. Took it for a test run. Speed is about 2mph less than GPS and I'm good with that. I had the front of the dash apart so I could adjust the temp gauge needle. It would lay to the left. Used a temp gun to get the needle to the closest reading on the gauge. I think I am within 5º not that these gauges are accurate but at least I know when to worry when it starts really heading to the right!
  24. Did you buy that at Tempe Dodge? Nice rig! I recently sold mine to fund other things around the house. We moved from Mesa AZ to Ozark MO two years ago.
