I seen online the carpeted type bedliner but afraid they would retain water. Is there some kind of universal bed mat available? I am looking to protect the finish on my truck. Maybe I should make something out of thin composite deck wood? Composite fence railing?

Getting there! Really love how the bumper turned out. Back will be similar. I will put on the Jeep logo after I get some PPF on the front. The letters are self adhesive rather than the pin on ones. All lighting is LED including the fog lights. Also installed a dual note horn which sounds so much. better.

Do you think Rubber is better over a hard plastic?

Truck was delivered today. I am super happy with how it turned out. The body is very straight and not a wave in sight! Justin at Arrow Collision and Paint did a fantastic job. I started assembly this afternoon. Some sneak peeks.

I am reviving this thread since KB is still making these hitches. Grab yours while they can still be made! I have one on order. Curious if anyone knows what the towing capacity of the MJ is with the 4.0 and AX15... I have a 1200lb dual axle 12' trailer that would be used on occasion to move my 1500lb ZT mower.

I did the best I could looking for replacements online. That said, all I found were aftermarket ones made in Taiwan or China. I have the Taiwanese made ones but they are really thin plastic. piss poor quality. Truck is at paint shop still so I haven't installed them yet

The plastic ones I have for the front replacements seem to be made of a thick black plastic garbage bag! Wish the parts quality on replacements were better.

I’m pretty sure these are unobtainable but I wanted to ask if anyone may possibly know of a source. Mine have the holes elongated on both and one is deteriorated.

I sent my truck off to Arrow Collision and Paint in Mansfield MO for a makeover. The exterior was painted in patchwork over the years by Maaco based on the receipts that came with the truck. It was dull, faded and worn out by the sun and many attempts to buff it back. Justin at Arrow is doing a fantastic job of it. There was some pitted rust spots around the windshield and back glass area. He removed the glass on both ends to get the job done right. I have new clips for the windshield trim and a new windshield since the original had to be broken to get it out. All the trim pieces have been sprayed black. The lower portion of the body will be a light silver two tone. No eliminator decals will go back for now. This will be a daily driver and I am very happy to keep it a stock 2wd. It sure garnered alot of attention at the cars & coffee the last time I was there. Here are some sneak peeks at the progress so far. Tailgate will not be perfect as it had several bends in it. Told Justin to do the best he could. I wasn't looking to spend $900 + shipping on a used rusty tailgate. Gotta draw the line somewhere I guess.

I see alot of door lock sets online for around $20. Some need filing to fit and some are sloppy in operation. I want to do this one time. Any links? Gaskets would be a plus! Not sure if new dealer stock is available or if there's a part number for such. Thanks guys!

In my quest to get my truck back to reality, I need to replace the rear inner flare rubber liners. Mine had these to keep the water off the metal retainers and are dry rotted. Any links? I can't find anything or maybe I am using the wrong verbiage.

I went with these bought at Big-O tires. Honestly, I am OCD and would have spent the same if not more having the stock ones remachined to look new. The box shows "Pacer" as the brand I guess. I also wanted a more dished look. Of course buying retail these days is more of a ripoff but it was something off my list on this truck.

I've got my 4 stock aluminum wheels for sale. They are also listed on marketplace. $300 for the set. Local pickup in Ozark MO. All wheels look the same with none being bent.

I had redone the interior with new upholstered seats, carpet and overall refresh. Now it's time for the outside to match the inside. Stripped the truck down to allow paint shop to do their magic. Although there is no real rust aside from some previously pitted repairs around the windshield, the truck has minor dings and dents. It had been repainted by Maaco in 2004 and the paint is showing its faded age. Along the way it had been buffed out to the point of no salvation. Yesterday Justin of Arrow paint came to pick up my truck to do his magic. His shop is about 40 min from my house and I couldn't drive the truck legally the way it was!

Chico, I got it from a seller on Ebay. While it looks nice, the extended adapter collar sucks as it pushes the wheel closer to you. Not much of a choice since it has to be like that to make room for the horn wiring and button. I bought a thinner version but the horn wouldn't fit to work. If you can live with that, it's a great set up. I have to live with it. I see the price went up. I paid $280 or so. I know other sellers were in the $350 range when I bought mine. The leather on the wheel feels nice too. The whole assembly is made in China but I guess everything is these days if that matters. https://www.ebay.com/itm/206342331282

Thanks! I was curious about the baffling. I do get oil on the filter too. Love the aluminum look but that is the only oil leak I have is from the oil fill cap. (Knock on wood!)

My 1990 valve cover oil fill cap always seeps oil even with the new rubber gasket. I was curious to know what the difference is with a 1991 and up version as it has the oil cap that would prevent this. Do the mounting bolts match? This is a valve cover from a 1991 in the pic.

Stripped mine down for the paint shop!
