  1. Ok, that makes sense. I was thinking this was an "open atmospheric" kind of thing. I know the heater valve was replaced recently by the previous owner. I was looking to replace the metal "F" coolant pipe but see those have been discontinued. I know guys just make up a replacement out of hoses and T's but I like originality. That said, when I eventually get to pulling the engine out for detailing I may just eliminate a bunch of that stuff and add an electric supplemental fan to the rad. My truck has no A/C from factory. I find it amazing that one little clutch fan keeps this thing cool leaving half the rad un-fanned!
  2. Will do, thanks! (I'll address it when the time comes for paint)
  3. Followed the steps on this to cure a non start unless holding the accelerator pedal down for a bit while cranking. My sensor starting voltage was .32 and it needed to be at .82 Thanks for this write up!
  4. Does anyone have updated part numbers for the above? These numbers do not show up on Napa online
  5. Ok, I am new here and I am sure this subject was beaten to a pulp... That said as an ignorant fool that I am, what does the open system do over a factory set up? Is it worth it for a 2wd truck? Thanks!
  6. Thanks guys! Regarding the grille is it installed upside down? And yes, this is already on the registry from previous owner. I have been secretly sourcing cosmetic parts such as door handles, carpet, interior trim bits and the like. My wife knows I am OCD and if given the green light, I could easily spend three times the value of this bringing it up to like new appearance!
  7. I am the new owner of this truck. It is now located in Ozark Missouri as of 7/2026
  8. I picked up a 1990 Comanche from another member here. She took great care of this truck. I will bring it to the final stretch cosmetically. She had taken care of most the running issues. Haven't had a manual vehicle in 25 years. I've repaired the speedo, put LED lamps for the dash and got the TPS adjusted according to a write up here. Truck starts up without needing to step on the accelerator pedal while cranking.
