ROCKNMUD Posted April 22 Share Posted April 22 Today I installed 2 pair of 6.5" Kenwood speakers and used Boxy Jeep's brackets for the rear cab corners. Great to be able to put a bigger speaker back there and not see them but you sure do hear them! I wanted Apple CarPlay and Walmart sells this cheap $150 unit and so far it is working great. I think that worm came out of a 97+ XJ, possibly even a rear door, but I pulled it from a junkyard like 3 years ago. Maybe someone can recognize the window attachment part and confirm? Its embarrassing to roll down my driver window and it sounds like a 1980s kitchenaid mixer missing a few teeth on low. You rock for the suggestion. The adjustable control arms are not needed with a 2" lift but it was the fastest way to replace the old bushings. All suspension and steering items have been replaced including the steering box. 38 years is a long time! Went with a 265/75/16" Nitto Ridge Grapler AT and put 1.5" wheel spacers in the rear to match the front. No clearance issues in the front with this size tire.
