olddude
I took this picture standing next to the pier in St Simons, GA. at the end of Feb. This is the huge Korean Cargo ship that rolled over in the sound leaving Brunswick,GA. last Sep. The ballast system went haywire as it was turning and it rolled over on it's side. It was on the return trip of it's maiden voyage carrying 4000 Korean auto's. They are setting up to cut it up in sections so they can remove it. Pete M
pics of my nephew's home run yesterday. He's 6 so the coaches are pitching and most anything hit to the outfield is a triple or a home run. but it's still awesome to watch My other nephew is 9 and it's the first year with the kids pitching and so hits are rare and walks are plentiful. very different games to watch. Pete M
if you've ever experienced the Jungle Cruise, you can already hear the skipper's words...
87MJTIM
Just now, Pete M said: if you've ever experienced the Jungle Cruise, you can already hear the skipper's words... I heard on the news today ("I read the news today, oh boy...") that WDW will change the Jungle Cruise so it is less "racially insensitive." You may have a collectors item there. Pete M
yup, the attractions move ever forward. looks like it'll have more of a story-line too instead of the random scenes. but as long as it's filled with corny jokes I'll be happy. I'm sure they will retain the 8th wonder of the world, but I do fear we might lose Trader Sam. I'd better take him up on that offer for 2 of his heads for one of mine while I can. Pete M
got a pair of reds making a nest in the yard. just like a few years back, they choose a tree waaaaaay at the back. but we'll enjoy them with the spotting scope until the foliage fills in. gogmorgo
This is the thread for backyard visitors, right? A family of three little black bears came to monch my lawn. Looked like a cinnamon mama, and a black cub each from this year and last. The cubs were pretty camera shy. Only got their eyeshine with the flash, didn’t even see the smallest cub until chasing them away.
youngfred
... Back in their day, when Bonnie and Clyde needed to get out of Dallas fast, they would take old Singleton Avenue from West Dallas,(known, in those days as 'the Devil's Back Porch') into the nearby countryside. youngfred
