  1. I would build a small cover for it and park it for a while. but I'm the sentimental type (for better or for worse).
  2. yup, just trim the steel bushing to be flush with the rubber bushing take care as you cut it to keep the rubber cool.
  3. these are the parts I'm using. nothing fancy, but I am very, very happy with the results. on the left is the 12v-5v converter with 2 usb outputs (one for my phone, one for the bluetooth), on the right is the noise canceler and this is the end result. nothing sticks of the dash but my phone charging cable.
  4. most if not all photo programs should be able to shrink your pics. even MS Paint can do it. I like to shrink mine down to around 400 or 600 pixels across and the megabites of the photo shrinks dramatically. also keep in mind that there is a limit on the total of all the photos you upload to the CC server, so it's a good thing that there is a per picture limit because otherwise you could only upload a few pics.
  5. I've not heard a single complaint after removal.
  6. very nice! should have come that way from the factory.
  7. great looking truck! our trucks rot from the inside out (rockers, bedsides, frame, floors). there really isn't anything much you can do but keep it away from salt altogether.
  8. don't static height differences usually mean very little with springs? what is the intended purpose of this particular video? either way, I can hear it just fine on my laptop.
  9. be aware that the vent windows are prone to whistling and leaks. sometimes a penny shoved into the latch can help.
  10. I've been holding off the new push for content additions until we get our "auto-shrink size of uploaded photo" code working. Since that is getting closer, I figure it's time to start thinking about what's the best way to make use of this new found power. we definitely need to go through the DIY list and fix broken links/pictures, but what new writeups would you like to see?
  11. the cam sensor is a common source of longer crank times.
  12. there's a nice pieced together ~6" lift plan in the link in my sig.
  13. The Dakota one fits.
  14. I tend to do it for brand new items because no one is going to check the classifieds for custom bench seat brackets, but they might notice it in tech. when they actually exist and he has some for sale, then they will definitely be moved to the appropriate forum.
  15. you shouldn't have any issue with just bending it with a couple pair of pliers.
  16. cherokees and comanches share center consoles
  17. welcome! I like the stone guards
  18. sounds like the fan is going south.
  19. this is the profile. it's about 1.5" long at rest. all it does it hold the bucket against the adjustment screw. it really could be any spring that is reasonable close. the key is a large enough hook to fit around the fiberglass of the fascia.
  20. how much clearance is there under the middle seat? is it even possible to lower it all?
  21. it's just a retainer spring. nothing all that special. I'd wager that there are others out there that would suffice. other MJ/XJs? chevy trucks? I'd bet something at Lowes would work. I'll try to remove one tomorrow so you can see the side profile.
  22. a budget boost (lift pucks and shackles) is under 100 and gives you a small bump to get it more 4x4-lookin'.
  23. and that is why the CAD bypass should be mandatory for MJ/XJ/YJ Jeep owners! (although those noises could still be something with your t-case or shifter)
  24. that is sketchy as all get out. poor looking welds and they support it with the thin upper mount?! that metal is not designed to take pressure in that direction.
  25. I was thinking there might be some info in the 97+ conversion threads that would be useful.
