  1. Cranks but no start before and after replacing CPS.
  2. I just did these tests and they all checked out. Will do and thanks for responding.
  3. 1987 long bed 4x4 6cylinder automatic. I’m at my wits end on this one. I replaced the tank, filter and fuel pump recently. I couldn’t get it to start. Cranks but no start. So I replaced the CPS and still nothing - even when spraying starter fluid into the intake. Is there a way/wire I can test coming from the ecm? TIA IMG_0580.heic
  4. Nothing, eh? oh well….. Looks like this is a question for FB Comanche page.
  5. I don’t see an indention or well-point where my fuel pump is to be placed. Does this look okay to y’all?
  6. 4x4, automatic and 4.0. so I ordered the tank - the only tank - that I concluded was original in the truck, since mine was full of rust. I also ordered a new sending unit/pump that appears to match that tank. Anyway, I just removed the tank to dispose of and it has a 16 gallon tag on it? Should I reverse course and order another 16 gallon or will the 23.5 work? TIA and a pic of the tank ….
  7. Any idea where this goes? It’s hot all the time.
  8. I simply strip the wires back a half inch or more then twist them together tightly. Then I melt a little solder on top of the twisted union and - after it cools - wrap it tightly with electrical tape. Some prefer shrink wrap but tape has always worked fine for me. Know this: there are two sides of the connector, in my opinion. The left side has 10 wires and the right has 13. The left side wires all easily match up except for an orange wire mates to a grey wire. The right side has two identical colored tan wires. Be careful to take care of those first. After those are done you can cut all the remaining wires off in one whack. They all match up. Here those two tan/brown wires are:
  9. The only snafu I ran into was there appears to be two tan wires on the right side (13 connections) of the C101. The left side (10 connections) was easy. So I had 4 wires (two from engine harness and two from ecm) that looked the same color with no stripes. I’m 85% sure I got them wired to their proper mates but no 100% sure.
