could be a combination of mild slop throughout the system. maybe it's time to jack up all four corners on stands, fire it up and put it in drive. fwiw, my libby has has a thunk in the rearend its entire life and there is fair bit of slop in the rear axle if you hand-turn the rear shaft. makes a thud you can feel as you let off the throttle. never gotten worse in 10 years. It doesn't make a noise though, just a sensation you can feel.

I mean, without disassembling anything, reach in with a giant screwdriver or small crowbar and try to wiggle/pry the front axle's axle shafts around at the ujoints.

I elongated mine with a grinder rather than drilled them out.

yup. they changed the integration of some of the pieces in 91.

yes. the single injector is know to leak and dribble gas into the throttle body causing poor mpgs or bad emissions.

adding a hockey puck into the bottom of the spring is a common method of bumpstop "extension".

my next thought would be the fuel injector leaking rather than spraying.

3072# is likely the most stripped down model.

it's so cool to see science in action probably not on par with seeing a rocket launch in person, but still sweet none the less to see the resupply coming to meet it.

has the the idle sensor or tps been tested yet?

can't disagree on that. but in all likelihood it'll be made from whatever I can find in the junkyards. I'll be replacing all the parts I want to hack with jy versions so the Jeep can be returned to stock if need be. plus I already own 4 rubicons and they aren't chrome. buuuuuuut, we'll see what I can find. I've scored some pretty sweet items in the past.

be extra extra careful when dealing with the sensor screws and bolts around the throttle body. they like to fuse themselves in place and strip the heads if you aren't putting enough pressure into the driver.

the old school ones available in 1997. I had some ko2s on my dakota and they sucked in the snow.
