  1. what might they be? bonus points if you've got pics. in just this one photo you can see: I drained out the last of my washer fluid bottle and routed the ccv hose to it as a stop gap to catch the copious amounts of oil spewing from my valve cover as I was traveling over the mountain passes on the way to Moab. used a clothes hanger to hold it down for extra classiness that screw hole at the bottom of the pic is from when I screwed a small piece of metal to hold down that corner of the hood after the latch seized on me and I tore it out. never needed it until I hit freeway speeds and then it would flop up and down. and yes, that's tupperware keeping my relays dry. (technically that was planned so it doesn't count for this thread) you can see the metal strip here:
  2. I've seen them online for late model XJs, but can't recall one for earlier years.
  3. don't worry about it. our site now auto-shrinks your pics for you. just load them straight to your post! but wile we're on the subject, in MS Paint I use "resize" and I usually do it by pixels. I've found that 600xwhatever is plenty big for internet use.
  4. just send me a message with your name/address and if you prefer paypal or snailmail for the donation.
  5. a-yup. but it's designed that something bends (can't remember what) if it happens to minimize the damage. still costs a small fortune.
  6. I have a bluetooth dongle plugged into my AUX port and it's all hidden behind the dash. (except for the charging cable)
  7. did this come on suddenly? any trailer light wire harness integrated out back? check the ground located inside the dr side taillight. double check that all your bulbs are correct and the sockets are in good shape. after that I would check the harness connector located behind the drivers side rear tire underneath the truck. I had corrosion inside that killed the brake lights / turn signals.
  8. diesels do not like the cold. My liberty drops at least 10-15mpg if it's below freezing outside. doesn't help that the grille/fan arrangement up front doesn't lend itself to an easy covering for the radiator.
  9. ours has worked great. but I'm just a sample size of 1 so that doesn't mean a whole lot.
  10. pixel by pixel by pixel by pixel... good times (not)
  11. it's a classic I still remember making it in MS paint.
  12. gotcha. the location next to the tape functions threw me for a loop.
  13. I have emblem-esque decals if people like the look. top is with the inside removed, bottom is with the outside removed.
  14. your chance of finding one is sliiiiiiiiimmmmmmm to none. they only made 12000 total on this side of the pond. car-part.com lists axles by ratios so it's easy to choose what you want to search for.
  15. Libertys have a 29 spline 8.25 and the common ratios are 3.55/3.73 with 4.10 being offered on some 4bangers.
  16. awww, I see we lost most of the pics in here. thank goodness we can now save our own pics. and yes, that's a boat on (in?) a custom hauler van.
  17. the link in my sig should have some writeups on swapping in the later AW4s. 97+ 8.25s are the good ones. the 8.25 from a Liberty is even better (slightly wider and comes with disks) every year XJ could still have the dana 35 under it so verify before purchase.
  18. looks good! and only 96 kb.
  19. I put the pub back. that one was really messing with me.
  20. definitely don't do that! the safe cheap lift comes from poly spacers that go on top of the springs.
  21. is that the axle vent?
  22. found your new truck
  23. check engine light was flashing, traction control light kept coming on, it was running rough and had hard shifts. one of the codes said "misfire cylinder 1" and so I pulled the plug and found it all fouled up with baked on oil. I replaced the plug and now all is well. that's right, I fixed the traction control and trans shifts by changing a spark plug. I'm starting to think that the warning was a fake to scare owners into paying attention to the check engine light. I cannot figure out how all these things can be connected. any ideas?
