  1. I have emblem-esque decals if people like the look. top is with the inside removed, bottom is with the outside removed.
  2. your chance of finding one is sliiiiiiiiimmmmmmm to none. they only made 12000 total on this side of the pond. car-part.com lists axles by ratios so it's easy to choose what you want to search for.
  3. Libertys have a 29 spline 8.25 and the common ratios are 3.55/3.73 with 4.10 being offered on some 4bangers.
  4. awww, I see we lost most of the pics in here. thank goodness we can now save our own pics. and yes, that's a boat on (in?) a custom hauler van.
  5. the link in my sig should have some writeups on swapping in the later AW4s. 97+ 8.25s are the good ones. the 8.25 from a Liberty is even better (slightly wider and comes with disks) every year XJ could still have the dana 35 under it so verify before purchase.
  6. looks good! and only 96 kb.
  7. I put the pub back. that one was really messing with me.
  8. definitely don't do that! the safe cheap lift comes from poly spacers that go on top of the springs.
  9. is that the axle vent?
  10. found your new truck
  11. check engine light was flashing, traction control light kept coming on, it was running rough and had hard shifts. one of the codes said "misfire cylinder 1" and so I pulled the plug and found it all fouled up with baked on oil. I replaced the plug and now all is well. that's right, I fixed the traction control and trans shifts by changing a spark plug. I'm starting to think that the warning was a fake to scare owners into paying attention to the check engine light. I cannot figure out how all these things can be connected. any ideas?
  12. I bought a cheap stick welder and tack my stuff together for a local pro to finish up. it lets me build what I want, but know that it's strong.
  13. old is what that is. though I'd wager that Minuit could adapt in an AUX port
  14. "spread the springs"?
  15. Pete M

    name that part 2

it's a blender for making smoothies on the trail
  16. our liberty has the 242 and it's been in awd mode for 99% of its life. (the other bit being 4wd low)
  17. me too good times with good friends in the rocky mountains!
  18. you should lock the CAD no matter what you do.
  19. more like 84-2001 TJs and YJs too. unless the owner has done a compression test, chances are slim the actual block is the problem.
  20. even the fenders aren't "necessary". the old fenders just won't quite match in the corner where they meet the new header. It's purely an aesthetic reason. same with the doors. people like to upgrade for the full look and they can go as far as they wish. . should be some writeups in the link in my sig.
  21. car-part.com can help with junkyard searches. be sure to search for multiple years sine the site lists purely by part number and those changed now and again even though the trans can still be used. TJ/YJ stuff can also be used with some mods.
  22. welcome to the internet and also, less filling!
  23. such are the ups and downs of meet-n-greets. I'd love to be there too. I won't have an MJ, but it's not that much out of the way if I'm driving up north. maybe I can even get the lift and tires on the libby by then.
