eaglescout526 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 This is hard to say..... I loved working at the dealer.....sad to say they let me go due to this damn virus. Thanks China for eating bats.... If you need a VIN decoded for any MoPar vehicle, now is the time. If you need a part, well I can do my best to help. I am keeping a positive attitude on this and hoping I will return to the dealer as I loved working there and helping you guys get what would be not easily obtainable parts. Now I’m not asking you guys to help me by buying my parts for sale and what not. But I ask that my fellow members who do have dealer access to assist me in the mean time. We we shall see what the future holds. Looking back, Little Red wouldn’t be what she is right now if it wasn’t for working at the dealer.
Pete M Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 chances are they'll be hiring soon. keep that upbeat attitude. that's the key right now. also wash your hands. that's the other key.
eaglescout526 Posted March 30, 2020 Author Posted March 30, 2020 Lol thanks Pete! That's the goal right now.
Warren Mohler Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Man sorry to hear that, keep a positive attitude, good parts guys are hard to find, either they call you back or find another should not be hard. Good weather is here UC is paying 100% of wages, enjoy go fishing
fiatslug87 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Sorry Daeson, yeah as Pete said they'll be hiring, especially if they want some of the stimulus $$. Thanks for all the help and services you have provided.
Ωhm Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Bummer buddy. My understanding of things is that money shouldn't be a problem.
eaglescout526 Posted March 30, 2020 Author Posted March 30, 2020 Thanks gents. In the mean time, I can do some things, like pressure wash 30 years of butt sweat out of my bench seat!
derf Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 I've been there a couple of times myself. Sucks no matter how you try to spin it. You'll get through this.
kansashogan Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 That sucks. Ticks me off to see a company that takes a short sighted view of things and let good help go. Good luck with finding something better.
Farias Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Can someone help me decode my vin#? Thanks in advance 1JTMU6417HT137845 1987 2wd short bed auto

WahooSteeler Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Daeson, very sorry to hear this. You have been a great help to me on some parts and info. Cheers to your health and return to work ASAP!
JMO413 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Sorry to hear about that I know you liked your job. I can take care of the build sheets,I probably won't be as fast as you on some of them. Keep your spirits up this will all hopefully come to a plateau soon. I'm guessing they will be calling you back soon enough, believe me I know it's hard hireing a good parts guy. I've tried many time about only succeed a few.
Pete M Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 just a heads-up to the dealership guys, I started a new sub-sub forum under the registry for "other models".
CODriver Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Sorry to hear, but you will get your job back soon, don't worry

Thank you guys. I do appreciate all the positivity for this. Probably might talk to AMC salvage and see if I can just hang out there for a few weeks and work with them. I still do currently have access to all my dealer stuff like the catalog but I don’t know for how long. Will update when I do lose it. And thank you JMO for helping out.
eaglescout526 Posted March 30, 2020 Author Posted March 30, 2020 Pete I like the registry sub forum. Nice touch.
Chad R Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 You never know in this time away from the dealership you might find something you like doing a whole lot better.
WesD Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 You'll be back in the dealer again in no time. Just last year 17Million new automobiles were sold. The annual rate right now? I'd guess 3-4Million. It will be back to 17 Million again soon, so just hang in there and keep up the good attitude. I very much appreciate your help as well. Care to do a vin decode? 1JTHL6511HT008079

500 MJ Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Sorry to hear this! The current state of affairs sure has EVERYTHING messed up. Don’t loose sight of what matters most, I’m sure that your work ethic will have made a lasting impression. I’ll bet that they didn’t let you (and others) go without a heavy heart. Chin up!
