Put me down for a set also. We all appreciate your efforts. -
Down around Rogers? We are in South East Kansas and we love going down there several times a year. Beautiful area.

Before and after
kansashogan replied to kansashogan's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
It’s been almost a year again since I last posted. The only thing I’ve had to work on is the pressure regulator in the Sniper. It died on me three times like it ran out of gas. I have a gauge letting me know it had no pressure so I suspected either filters or pump. The pump is almost three hundred bucks so I’m glad it wasn’t bad. Anyhow, she’s running like a champ again.- 235 replies

One of my machines at work is down so I got stuck running only one lathe with a fifteen minute cycle time so I have time to look at CC. I reread my thread and realized it has been over a year since I last posted. I haven’t done much but I did fix the tach issue. It was a corroded terminal in the wiring harness. I wasn’t expecting that. But it’s fixed. The only other thing I did was fix the wipers. After trial and error it ended up being the delay box. I just did away with it. I never have fixed the leak under the dash so I don’t drive it in the rain much anyways. Other than that I drive it a couple times a week to work and that’s about it.- 235 replies

Intermittent Wiper Loss Repair
kansashogan replied to Tactical Bacon's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I almost threw two modules away today. I’ve been having intermittent problems lately so I tore into it and discovered they were no good. The high and low work and I rarely drive in the rain since it is so hard to track down leaks. Ya think you got ‘em and……nope. -

What a great read. Keep us up to date.

That’s a good idea, I didn’t know that option existed. Thanks

The USPS is a lot cheaper than UPS. I try to charge as little as possible. I tried shipping some rocker/cab corners recently that I spent twenty bucks bubble wrapping and shrink wrapping and the local UPS shipper told me they couldn’t ship it that way. Still have them because the guy lived ten hours away.

When I was looking for a SBC for my truck I had two guys contact me and I drove to check them out. One drive was an hour. The jerk never showed. Wouldn’t answer his phone. Another guy had a 383 stroker for a good price but he was 3 hours away. I grilled his wife about the condition and she said it was excellent. I drive there and the heads were off and the cylinders were scratched pretty bad. I really considered punching the jerk but he was deaf and his little girl was signing for him and I wouldn’t do that in front of her. I live 6 miles out in the country and I hate driving to town to get a shipping quote. Costs are going up and I’ve really screwed myself a couple times so I’ve started charging what seems to much to some.

I cut this truck up solely with a Rigid cordless sawzall. Since I never got a single hit on the bed I had for sale for 100 bucks I decided to use it for my scrap metal hopper. I had an old beat up Chevy bed behind the barn I have used for over twenty years that I scrapped and put this one in its place. The next thing I’m making is a pipe rack out of the x in the back of the frame. Not done with it yet but hopefully tomorrow.

I thought so but it is long gone. This thing is pretty stripped.
-
Ok, Pete I never did register it. The interior is totally stripped and the dash vin is gone. None under the hood either. Fiatslug, I snapped a pic of the springs. I found what may be the vin, not sure. H4ZMB2AH3HJO

I have the build sheet, it’s pretty rough but I can read some of it. How would I know if it was a metric ton? While I have you, what is the difference between a high and low pinion front axle? The one I have, the driveshaft is at the top of the housing.
-
Yes sir, three plus one. Is that not factory? Good, bad? None are broken I could see. I’ve had that old truck to part out for a couple years but six day work weeks kept me busy. We are now on strike for who knows how long so I’m taking advantage of the situation. I will be posting a fair bit of stuff in the next few days . I looked on eBay awhile back and checked prices on AMC 20s and about choked. Pretty optimistic pricing but I bet they will sit on them a long time.
-
I pulled a AMC 20 today out of an ‘86 long bed. I’m going to check it out and make sure all the teeth are good and if so post it up.
-
I bought a SR22 for my wife also. It has the Crimson Trace laser on it so she can lock on a target pretty quickly.

Cracked ribs hurt like heck. That could have been much worse.
