derf
"As long as I'm in there" syndrome kicking in. As long as I have the drywall ripped up and I'm redoing it all, I'm going to do a little wiring. It's easy to spend over $100 at Home Despot. thecodemonk
Built a new desk with a lot more space on it...it's not complete yet (still have a hutch to build to raise the monitors and give me room for the keyboard on the desk itself), but it's getting there. Otherwise, got lights in the shop and a "big boy" welder plug added in there for one day in the future, when I have a welder that requires more than a 120 plug. Pete M
couldn't resist setting the stove in place (and slapping a 4ft pipe on it) so we could get a feel for how it's all coming together.
watchamakalit
Looks good Pete. One question though. Why do you need a wood stove in GA?
Pete M
"need" is probably too strong a word, but we only have a heat pump at the house and it gets dang cold in that big room (an addition) fed by a single duct (seemingly added as an afterthought to the original hvac system) surrounded by single pane windows on 3 walls when the temps drop below freezing. especially if the power goes out during a freak ice storm. that night suuuuuuucked. My grandfather was still here and keeping him warm was a challenge. also wood stoves look/smell/sound cool when you get a fire going
watchamakalit
You don't need to tell me about wood stoves. Ive heated solely with wood for 12+yrs now. can't be beat in my opinion. I just thought if it got cold in GA that just meant it was time to turn down the AC. Lmao
Pete M
north GA isn't south GA. we do occasionally get "winter". especially at night. tonight is in the 20s but the high is up to the 50s tomorrow. once that sun comes up, so does the temp.
