  1. I finally got around to figuring my gear ratio. It appears I have 4.56 gears. I got 4.5 rotations of the drive shaft per one rotation of the tire. I have 31" tires. Safe to say that's pretty low for the size of tires. If I didn't have 4 hours of freeway driving to my hunting camp I wouldn't complain as I'm mostly driving in town.
  2. Hard to play hard on a budget. Those look like nice lights. I suppose I'll wait till I can get some better one than what I mentioned.

  9. I'd recommend getting the azzy linkage, you'll be much happier in the end then grab the handle portion at a junkyard or ebay. I bought that old z linkage thing and it sucked then spent more money to buy azzy. Might as well skip to that first

  12. I used a floor jack and a buddy to hold it old there as it was lowered. Worked fine. Took two of us to lift the new one back into position as we couldnt get the angle right on the jack
  13. I don't have the original gears. Axle came with the locker in it. Had time to do some reading. Some suggest the brake calipers could be the culprit. Not sure how that works tho. Most testing to come
  14. Ugh the clunk remains! Wheel bearing feels real good though so that's nice. Are putting the stock gears back in the dana 30 hard? Thinking about ditching this locker.
  15. You'll need the mount that attaches to the transmission. The one that also has the exhaust mount on it.
  16. Got new ball joints, wheel bearings and a u joint in the axle shaft. The u joint was toast just rust left inside. The wheel bearing had alot of wobble in it. Lastly the top ball joint was so tight I couldnt get the rod to move even with a big hammer. I think that was my problem but it could have been all of it. Putting it back together today then a test drive. 🤞
  17. How well do they keep water out of the bed? Easy to roll up to use the bed? Thx for the info
  18. Not quite done yet, ran out of stone. Replacing wheel bearings, ball joints and a u joint on the MJ next while i wait
  19. I'm not positive it's the locker that's causing the clunk. I'm about to throw money at it its driving me nuts
