Is this part of owning a pick up? I've never owned a pick up before, but I keep finding trash in my pick up bed. No matter where I park, at home, at work, while running errands. People keep dumping candy wrappers, empty gum packs and other crap in my bed. Is this just something I need to get used to? I just want to catch someone doing it so I can tell them off....

I would, but then I'd have to get rid of my roll bar, which I quite like. I just don't understand people's rationale for this, why do this?

Most people today have no respect for other people or other people's property. They don't even respect other's lives. Look at the murder stats across the country.

It kind of surprises me that they don't just throw the stuff on the ground. Maybe they think they're being ecologically friendly throwing it in your truck instead. Then you can throw it in the trash.

Like 90% of the "these days" comparisons it has nothing to do with "these days." It happened to me when I got my first truck 35 years ago and a friend tells a story of getting trash thrown in the bed of his still almost brand new 1965 C10....in 1965.

I tend throw the odd piece of garbage in my own truck, but never had anyone else throw junk in my trucks.

x2  I have two trucks, neither one has ever gotten anything in the bed other than what I toss back there.

Yeah, I toss cans and other trash out the slider into that big ol trash can but I've never found anything back there that I didn't recognize as my own stuff.

Found another wrapper this morning, I'm going to stop parking nose inwards. Hope that helps.

It is probably the same person every time. Put up a wild life motion camera pointing out the back window and check it the next time trash shows up.

I've had it happen a couple times in Saskatoon. Personally I'd rather people chucked their trash in my bed than just dumped it on the ground... at least then it stands half a chance of ending up in the garbage. Still don't much care for dealing with other peoples' garbage, though.

When I was living in the barracks I would get a bed load of trash every Friday morning. We had field day Thursday night and they would use my Ranger as a trash can in on the way out Friday morning. I ended up putting a camper shell on it.  I've either had a tonneau cover or camper shell on every truck I've owned since.

when I was in college it used to happen offer. Just would be like a random bag of fast food trash, often wouldn't notice till it was flying around on the highway. I'm surpised I never got cited for littering.

id rather have someone put something in my truck without asking, than to have somoene take something from my truck without asking...

This!! I agree with it 100%

I throw bottles and such in mine but no one else has except for club runs, then it's open season lol

Agree 110%, nothing ticks me off like blatant littering. Grrrrrr :headpop:

:agree: As disrespectful and trashy :D as it is to use another person's vehicle as a garbage disposal, it's still better than dumping it on the side of the road.

I had plenty of stuff thrown into my bed - I parked at the very front of a high school parking lot. Go figure.

I found an 30 pack filled with empty beers cans in the back of my truck and got real mad until I remembered they were mine.
