I was going to bolt in some bucket seats and a console, but I decided to pull the carpet before it was too late. It was too late.

I installed 2" coil spacers up front and TRIED to install new motor mounts. When I removed the left one, the engine shifted about 1/2" forward so now I have to figure out how to push it back to line up the mounts. YIPEE!!

Motor mounts are next on my list - let me know if you come up with any brilliant solutions.

Took MJ & rodeo seat brackets and combind pieces to put to gather a set so I can set the Rodeo buckets in the MJ.

use a long pry bar. or just hook up a cherry picker and do both at the same time.

I've had zero luck using a 5' digging bar. The engine really does not want to line up with the engine bay mount locations. I have a feeling this truck had an accident in it's previous life and tweaked about 1/2". I borrowed my neighbors hoist but I'm not sure how to lift up on the engine without the strap causing damage to something on the driver side. The hoist has a chain with a hook but wouldn't that squeeze the strap, thus squeezing everything it contacts?

:dunno:

Any advice is welcome.

replaced the steering wheel with a grant one i had lying around, fixed the driver side door lock linkage so i can use the lock from inside without the key, re-wired the left door speaker (i have 97+doors) so i have audio again, reinstall some trim on the dash so it looks less hack, tighten shift knob, replace rear view mirror due to haziness, and get new u-bolts/centering pins for the b@stard pack i'm building to get me by for awhile longer. all with the help of my assistant, seen here check out his aunt's car.

Wired up a winch wireless remote control that I got from Roadless Gear. Works great and cost $10 less than Warn's wireless remote.

Finally got the engine mounts in. Due to the 1/2" misalignment, the rubber on the L mount is a little distorted but it should function just fine. I had to pry the mount into place from underneath and it was my 20th attempt that got it.

I discovered that a pair of lowering shackles from the parts house will lift the rear of an MJ about 2.5 - 3 inches. Hooray for budget lifting.

:wrench: rebuild the left leaf spring with some spare leaves i had sitting around while it was still on the truck. install kenwood cd player with aux in jack on front to replace the sony cassette player that was in it.

Got the dome lights working with the door switches again, (ok did that earlier in the week) and re-wired up the radio, to find out it was a complete hack job, just electrical tape holding the wires together, and replaced one speaker that wasn't working in the door, now I need to get me some 4x6 to replace the one in the b-pillar that isn't working, um, replaced the shifter boot because my old one was all torn up, and tightened this shifter knob so hopefully that won't rattle any more. comanche.gif
