Drove 85 miles round trip for what I was assured was an AX5 out of a 90s XJ.

Evidently he didn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground.

And then my blind back end didn't really look at it before I loaded it up into my truck. As soon as I opened the tailgate at home I saw "Borg Warner" cast into the case.

Please tell me you pulled the rest of the black interior pieces...

VIN?

Rob

I'm still learning what is rare, but will pull all the black I can this week. I have a black exterior '86 myself, and would like to replace the tan interior. VIN 1JTMU6416JT041663. I will post pictures on the VIN board soon.

What's with people thinking black is rare?

I have only ever owned two Comanches (actually, still have both), and both have factory black interior.

today nothing

yesterday went to the badlands with several other jeeps, showed the onlookers how to wheel,

later in a hole about 5' deep got stuck, seven inches deep inside the truck, first try 3 jeeps, resault two broken toestraps, second try one 4-wheeldrive tractor and fourty five feet of cable and i'm out, wife said "showing off don't pay" if you could have been there you might agree,

I say "sure it dose" :brows: B...

I changed out the rear diff fluid with Super Tech Syn 75w90. I also trimmed down the Chevy drop shackles to fit the MJ frame but I won't know for sure until I remove the old ones. I trimmed the rubber to the same width as the bolt sleeve so hopefully that will be enough.

Recharged the AC again. After being charged last spring it was down to about 6 oz left. Must have a leak somewhere. I think I need a new H-block too, as the low side pressure was showing about 10 psi. I still have a ton of projects needing done on it, like building the trailer hitch, Herculining the bed, taking pics to update my build thread, installing my AX5 4wd trans and transfer case, doing the needed bodywork to prep for paint..... you know, all the "little" stuff.
