cody4359 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 i finally installed th MOFO'in motor and? did you fire it up yet? run yet? :cheers: i still have to splice the rear harness to the front, install my new timing chain, then put the radiator/ac and all accesories in the proper mouting points before i try turning it over. start night shift 2morrow nite for a few nights then i have school for a week starting the 21st, then a job after that. won't be turning it over for quite a while :cry:

comanche12 Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 ^^ make me want to wash my both babies(impreza and MJ) :oops: what did i do with my mj today, after work, i start replace and install parts that i got yesterday. shocks have no problem install and its all done. front end feel alot better. no more oscillation wiggle while I'm pull bumper with my body up from sit on floor. wheel hub locks- are you kidding me, its only took me 5 mins replace from old one to aftermarket one. install and enange r very easy. I'm sure that I'm finally now have 4x4 work now. bearings- just pulled axle shaft out and ready to bring it to my work to use bearing press machine :banana: plans on weekend is custom drill and plug it with new drain plug for 9" rear axle. then flush rear axle gear oil plus drill/tap for breather on rear axle. :banana:

comanche12 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 got my rear axle bearing replaced, drained rear axle gear oil, drill/tap on rear axle guide tube for breather tube, soon going drill/tap rear axle differential cover for drain plug so i can drain it without need remove the third member on rear axle(its ford 9"rear axle) :clapping: I'm speeding up finish my jeep!

deziped Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Pulled the tailgate off my spare 86 LB bed & removed the rust free handle & all the latching mechanism's & hinges from it. The bed is rust free & I'm comptemplating cutting a 1 foot section out of the front & rear & turning it into a bob-bed trailer. About a 5 footer or less. When it warms up a little & I get back from So CA I'll see if I can get motivated.
