I got this Comanche about 10 years ago during a HOT summer when I was driving 50 miles a day in an 88 Comanche with no ac. This one was converted to R-134 and it worked pretty good. Fast forward to when my neighbor stopped by to tell me he was done fixing his 99 TJ and did I want it. I did.
Both Comanches took up residence in the driveway. I recently got motivated to fix the 90. It did not start, after some troubleshooting, I put a fuel pump in it. Turned the key, I heard it power up. A few turns of the key to fill up the rail and it fired right up. Time for a test drive. I got to the end of the driveway, and lost the brakes. A line let go. Backed it up and walked away.
This past weekend I decided time to get it going again. Quick trip to Napa, I got 3 five foot brake lines, a couple of unions, and the Dakota brake hose. I removed all the old lines, ran the new ones. Done in a day. I should have done this a while ago. I still have to re-bleed the system. I want to start driving it again, and fix or upgrade as I can. Here are some pictures.
