  1. Hi guys, This thread is now living here: https://www.cj-8.com/threads/haydukes-operation-scrambled-scrambler.42709/
  2. Hello, I'm just reading this and getting caught up but I think I missed a piece. What happened to the CRD engine? Are you doing a 4.0 now?
  3. Jeep690: I used the original hinges. Hi Guys, The Comanche sold and now lives in Zion, IL. The new owner is a Jeep guy and plans to do a rear disc brake conversion among other things. I know he's prowled Comanche Club, I'll push him to get on here and start a build thread for the ongoing build of my old truck.
  4. Doc. - The driver side of the YJ cowl section have a good dent in it and some rust under the plastic step molding. The Scrambler body on the driver side was really nice, so I decided to just replace the corner.
  5. My wife said the old tail lights are dim and hard to see at night so I added a strip of red LEDs under the tailgate. From close up you don't even see them (under the gate) but at night they make a lot more light.
  6. Comanche For Sale........ Testing the Waters for price at least (What's it worth?) :dunno: Hi Guys, I'm still using the Comanche as a daily driver but now commute farther to work and I'm thinking of getting a car for better mileage. What do you feel is a reasonable price for a 98' swap Comanche? 98' 4.0L with upgrade injectors 175K Auto AW4 trans 4WD ~ 2inch lift & rear locker power rear view mirror leather power seats (heated seats if fix broken seat wires) custom interior, truck cap, extra dent free passenger door. Choice of Moab or Comanche wheels $4000 :dunno:
  7. I have about two inches of lift in front and Chevy shackles and a add-a-leaf in back. Not sure if I could find the original shackles or I might consider 3" lift springs. I want a little nose down, but not too much. And I want to do it on a budget,,
  8. Correct MJ Springs? Hello, I read through some threads about springs but not finding much other than metric ton springs. I'm getting dumpy butt, Does anyone make basic 4.0 MJ rear leaf springs? Most sites direct you to XJ springs which are different?
  9. Yep, It's starting to look like the graft was a success....... Most of the backing plates are underneath. Thanks for the Kudos guys!
  10. I started a new Jeep build: Operation Scrambled Scrambler: A Street machine in the making... http://www.cj-8.com/forum/showthread.php?42709-Hayduke-s-Operation-Scrambled-Scrambler
  11. Look like fun trails... wish I was closer! I added a rear winch to my trail rig, thought you might like it.... Here's the build If your interested: http://www.cj-8.com/forum/showthread.php?43016-Rear-Winch-Install-on-wheeling-rig&p=325655#post325655
  12. Still happy with the injectors but sometimes there is some hesitation at start-up rather than just immediately starting.
  13. Yep, I'm working in Abbott Park right now and have family in Libertyville so I'm around there frequently. You likely saw me.
  14. After 6 months plus of daily driving the locker has worn in and is much smoother on the road, and not very loud at all. I don't notice it much in general unless I'm on a slippery surface. I'm happy with the purchase for the price paid.
  15. Thanks!, I think my rear window is leaking (air/whistle on the highway) I might try to seal it, or just by a new one. how hard are these to install? The current one looks like it's popped out about a 1/4 inch, there's that much gap between the gasket and the cab.
