  1. We really haven't done a ton to it lately. Dad got some bedsides on order and we tacked the cab mounts in. Then we decided to move the cab back 1/2", so we cut the tacks and slid it back and re-tacked it.
  2. I'm guessing those are some fine units!
  3. Welcome to the forum! We would love to see pictures of that Scrambler. We even have a spot for a build thread on it! @krustyballer16, could you help him out in any way on the brackets?
  4. Is it just me, or do most of the MJs in AZ seem to be LWBs?
  5. As of now, I am thinking June for a get together. Would that work for most of us?
  6. That’s where I am!!! Maybe we’ll need to get together
  7. I’m not sure. I do have an OEM one for it, but I’m not sure what I will do yet.
  8. @kryptronic‘s truck.
  9. Hopefully I will have everything do me for the All Breeds Jeep Show! I think the only thing I need to buy (or rather build) before then is a set of rock sliders. This truck will see trails....someday....maybe.
  10. I know we can. And we probably should have. You should see our PM that we had going on paint alone. Don’t worry about being an a$$, I am too.
  11. How close is McHenry to @JolietJEEP'84?
  12. Here is an opinion article that Jay Leno recently wrote for Hagerty. I know lots of us do our own work, so we have appreciation for the work that goes into these trucks and just vehicles in general, but I still think this is worth a read. https://www.hagerty.com/media/opinion/leno-appreciation-for-hard-work-is-fading-and-old-cars-arent-easy/
  13. I was going to suggest that too, but I'm not sure if it would clear the e-brake. Maybe Mini could confirm?
  14. I couldn't cut those. I would build a speaker box to go in/near the center console.
  15. That's a good plan. Maybe drive it around stock for a while with your permit and just get comfortable with it.
  16. Did you check these out? They are for keeping stock/similar to stock axles, but I think you could still use parts from them.
  17. That all sounds like a good plan. I was going to recommend against doing a kit, but you already don't plan on one
  18. What lift are you thinking of going with?
  19. It sucked, but at the same time, it was awesome! Honestly, I think you will have no problem getting the suspension parts done as long as you will be able to get everything you need and have enough money. Lots of suspension work can get done really quickly. I think you could probably do your D44/SOA/Whatever you decide in the front/AX-15 swap in 2 weeks if you really put your nose to the grindstone.
  20. I get that. When we were putting the truck back together after paint, we were working on it from 8am to 8 pm trying to get it done to get it to a car show 4 days after I got my learners permit. During my road test the day before the show, the turn signals stopped working and the alternator gave up. I ended up needing a jump start and got my fingers slammed in the hood. I was out there working on it the morning of the show putting the alternator in. And I drove it there rod knocking like there was no tomorrow, but it was there.
  21. Even driving it a little is super inspirational. That's how it goes sometimes. This weekend, I had huge plans for the truck. I was going to swap in my buckets, install the sportbar, put the headlight relay harness in, and install my skid plate. The skid plate was being a PITA though, so I only put that on and painted my sportbar brackets.
  22. That will be great that it will be on the road soon! I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of driving it. I think you will be impressed, even in stock form.
  23. Thanks! The lights are probably only temporary. I've changed my pfp as much in the last 2 months as you changed your username in you first 2 weeks on the forum
  24. Agreed. The only HO stripe package that I think is as cool (or maybe a little bit cooler) is the HO Eliminator decals. You just can't beat the 86 4x4 graphics though
