I blame Chrysler for screwing up the codes. I wish we could know what options these trucks really had.

Very cool! I love these old school buses. What year is it? Does it have the GMC 305 V6 (or the V12 that was 2 V6s put together) or does it have some sort of diesel?

If you look very closely, it had the OEM wagon wheel style steel wheels, but now it has a different OEM steel wheel. Looks like they went from the 8 hole wagon wheels to the 10 "rectangle" hole steel wheels. I think @eaglescout526 had the white wheels on his Little Red when he first got it.

Looks like a great truck to do stuff with! It has come a long ways from its selling dealership. What are your plans with it?

WI has these and Kwik Trips on just about every street corner in the state.

I love 5 Guys burgers. Although even 5 Guys doesn't beat one of the bars in my town . My default out-of-town restaurant is Chik-Fil-A though.

This is the way. I'm sure @MiNi Beast would confirm this. Careful though, there are a lot of bolts that hold in the transmission. Those are like screws, but different. On a serious note, the top two bolts that hold the engine to the transmission are are royal PITA to remove.

Believe it or not, shipping steering columns is fairly easy. I've had to do it a few times at work. I would recommend taking off the tilt column adjuster handle thing and the turn signal stalk, then it will fit in a regular box. I want to say we were able to ship 3 (for 63 Impalas) in one box from WI to CA for $75.

That would be a fun adventure for sure! Be sure to keep us updated.

Indeed. It should handle like a go kart too.

Even if I am just moving a trailer in the driveway, the tongue gets latched, chains hooked up, breakaway brakes attached, and the lights get hooked up. Every time.

We are hoping so!

This car is probably getting a 6.0 and a 4L80. The only rust is in the trunk floor, outer wheelhouses, and quarters. It’s even got factory AC.

There is a long story with this car. My dad traded some labor for it 12ish years ago. We are very close with the person he got it from. We put an SBC/TH350 in it, but never made it driveable. About 5 years ago, he sold it. He instantly regretted it. Well, we were finally able to get it back, with a parts car an a bunch more parts last Sunday. The car was in a semi trailer for 35 years. Pictures of before we sold it. Now (and the parts and parts car) The good car ^

Oh boy, I’m a little special, aren’t I? https://comancheclub.com/topic/59405-88-eliminator-junkyard-gem/?tab=comments#comment-610295

I have an air cleaner off of a Scout that says “Comanche 4” on it.

I'm not sure what it would cost to rebuild the pump but: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=83186 You might be able to get it done fairly inexpensively too, since you seem to be in junkyards quite a bit. I also see that @Sir Sam is on that forum. He may be able to provide some information too.

Read through the 2nd page of this thread. It looks like you and @Vakarian had similar amounts of damage.

Any updates @Awinski?

New project multiple questions

Are you getting power to the pump? What about before the fuel hits the filter, are you getting fuel there? -
I don't think there is a question here. I think this truck deserves to be fixed. Use car-part.com and collect the needed parts to fix it. Even buy an XJ if you have to. Remember, these old trucks are like legos. They were built to be fixed by a regular person. There aren't any specialty tools needed to do this, and you could probably do it in your driveway/garage/yard in a week or so if you work on it during nights and weekends.

Wow! That thing looks clean! Unless it was swapped in, you would have an AX-5, not an AX-15. What are the plans with it?
-
Mmmmmmmmm, supercharger. I like it.

Dang WI! We are supposed to get snow for a couple more hours (it’s been light to this point and is supposed to stay light). The plow truck just went by dropping a bunch of salt, straight salt. I was hoping to get my MJ about soon, but I guess now it’s sitting for a week at least or until we get a rain.
