  1. LOL even the veterans can make little mistakes, glad you figured it out.
  2. Wow great color. That might be the first brown nice repainted MJ I've seen here. It looks great, I never really thought of how brown would look (other than dirt LOL).
  3. I think you'd ruin it if you didn't stick with the factory red. Solid truck you have there.
  4. Yours look fine, better than mine.
  5. I replaced my passenger side one, it's a bit of a pain to change out, but after seeing how it works I would think repairing it would be harder. I bought a used regulator on eBay for $10+shipping. It just needs to come out of a 84-96 4-door model Cherokee or any Comanche (must be front regulator, same side door too). Drilling out the rivets is easy. You have to partially remove the vent window stuff to do the swap. The regulator I got was out of a newer XJ (94-96) I think because it was held in by bolts from the factory so it made re-installation easier. Riveting is good as it holds forever and doesn't come loose, but they are 1/4" rivets so you need a special heavy duty rivet gun to install the new rivets if you go that route.
  6. Ich bin sehr beeindruckt von der Arbeit, die Sie getan haben, gute Arbeit! Ich bin mit einem Übersetzer, dies zu schreiben, so dass ich hoffe, dass es Sinn macht.
  7. No need to have any concerns, the tech works and is designed for situations (climate, voltage, etc.)
  8. If only I had a time machine... LOL
  9. Meguiar's PlastX, I used it on the instrument cluster lens also with good results. It's not too abrasive.
  10. johnj, post up a new thread in the For Sale forum to get more exposure.
  11. Yeah I saw that. I would definitely clear coat if it had some kind of UV protector in it. To be honest the one thing that picks me just a bit about the tail lights is the yellowness of the backup lamp clearish part. I will play around, but I was thinking of not taking my lenses apart, but I'd maybe remove them and spray water & soap inside the housings, let it dry, then re-install. Not sure how much that will help...?
  12. Well this auction ended at $560. I really wanted these, but there's no way I can justify that price. To make myself feel better, I used some plastic polish on my own taillights, I think they turned out okay :-)
  13. iPhone 5S is what I have, a big upgrade over a 4. Put it in a Lifeproof or Otterbox case.
  14. Tapatalk is sweet because you can upload pics directly, no hassle. Tapatalk servers store the image and do all the magic, it's great.
  15. SWEET MJ. All it needs are the emblems put back in the right places and OEM type Pioneer stripes and PERFECT.
  16. Their stuff is crappy in my opinion. I believe they bend their rocker panels so they can be fit directly overtop the stock ones, so they're a bit larger in size. p.s. Measure before you cut
  17. Thanks, I didn't see that auction. I'd love to own those, but.... I'd be afraid to put them on my truck in case they got broken. So is the current high bidder 9*****s someone here with deep pockets? I just went out and carefully looked over my lenses. No cracks, no chips.... argh I really don't need these but I want them.... so steep...
  18. Hells yeah. Your '89 should be pretty much identical to the '88. Go to this link to download a PDF copy of the factory electrical manual, it will be extremely helpful (along with cruisers tips and others' input): http://www.alpinefurniturestore.com/JeepDocumentation/jeeps.html
  19. Well they got the bend on the horizontal piece perfect.
  20. Could it be a towing package bumper from the factory?
  21. Is my bumper OEM everywhere? There seems to be kind of plate steel in the center part, wasn't sure if that was the same as all Comanches or what. It looks 100% stock original from the rear.
  22. Pretty sure that's a Command Trac emblem.
