WRZ's comanche Now the 96 od2 swap in progress

been a while since any updates, but ive been lurking weekly. The comanche hasnt gotten better and ive changed just about every sensor with oem stuff. I finally narrowed it down to bad wires. Bought a 96 xj to do the obd2 swap. The plan is to take the complete harness from headlights to tail lights, and complete dash and swap her in. Been about 2 weeks and have the donor completely stripped and the dash and engine bay stripped on the comanche. During the process i found over a dozen duct tape splices in the engine and dash harness  damn po's Got the engine harness just about finished, just need to redo a few grounds. Here are some pictures, but nothing too crazy Sad comanche stripped and primed for some paint Fresh paint, New bottle and painted bracket Donor during harness labeling ( before pic before i took it out stripped mj dash Was really hard to actually start stripping snce i put soo much time and money into her, but was usless not running right On a good note i did end up buying a new aluminum 3 core radiator, silicone hoses, dual battery harness, and have a few more goodies sitting in the shed and at the powder coaters stay tuned better pics to come this weekend -

Been looking for a spare jeep to drive while i work on the comanche 1998 Jeep grand cherokee 4.0 Came across this gem at my local auction, did not know much about it besides the pictures on the site and that it ran Looked it over in person and it was super clean under and inside besides a saggy headliner. Not a drop of rust anywhere Ended up winning it for a total of $1525 with fees and tax ect Picture from iaai site The main reason why i bought it As soon as i got it, it would overheat in gear only and i had no heat Few hours later i found the culprit Now runs great and have heat Also changed the front & rear sway bar bushings and rear end links Thats pretty much it for now, Waiting on my new shocks and some other misc parts to arrive

Well my comanche has been giving me problems for the last couple months, After countless hrs of trouble shooting and changing parts ive been debating on swapping out the harness. I found a great deal on a 96 xj that would serve as the donor for the interior and engine harness Parts already installed on current setup 1990 lwb pioneer 4.0 aw4 1996 xj head 2001 intake and throttle body 1996 manifolds 96 booster I know i will have swap the fuel pump and most of the sensors ect My question is will i have to change my fly wheel, and will i be able to still use my aw4 trans and np231 t-case ( renix error ) if i swap over all the electrical, computers ect? I know this will be alot of work doing the swap, but do not want the renix set up anymore thanks input would be great thanks

not much to update on, still getting my @$$ kicked by the jeep. can't figure out why its running super rich. I have collected a decent amount of goodies over the last few weeks for it After getting my license plates stolen i decided to get some custom ones, and used some led bolts to secure them shot with the lights on going to get the exhaust moved towards the right more so its not right under the plate got my sliders in a few weeks back and finally had some decent weather to get a coat of primer on them hopefully we get a warm day over the weekend so i can get some paint on them Also have a superwinch, dual battery wiring, new rocker switchers, and some more misc items that need to be installed more to come soon . :MJ 1: . -
Just saw this post now and decided to check my gauge on the fuel fail. I clicked the key forward ( did not start ) and the pressure was a 32psi. Within a few seconds the psi dropped and after a few minutes was all the way down to 0. wish i would have thought of this sooner before buying all these sensors, guess i have some spares for the future. Really appreciate it, now just have to try and get a replacement and figure which injector is the culprit.
