  1. I'm pretty sure the junkyard punches a hole in every tank as a means to drain it easily.
  2. Wow! Cool find.
  3. I like my vent windows... cause I don't have A/C...
  4. Don't bother straight piping it. Spend your time and energy on other more worthwhile things.
  5. Hey, everybody has 0 feedback when they start.
  6. Check out NOS AMC Jeep XJ Cherokee Seat Cover RARE Limited Pioneer OEM Vintage Wagoneer This is a NOS factory seat cover for a Jeep Cherokee (upper seat-back portion). I have recently bought up another AMC/Jeep dealership inventory and have several other parts I will be listing shortly. http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/291233637673 You might want to stay tuned to that seller since he just bought another AMC/Jeep dealer's stash of stuff.
  7. I got mine from eBay and a junkyard.
  8. We all are . :MJ 1: .
  9. Volvo 746 injectors are best for Renix engines.
  10. That's original! I'd be interested to see how the vinyl holds up over time, after getting dirty & washed, etc. Keep us posted on longevity. Will your truck sit outside all the time or will it be in a garage when not being driven?
  11. That is in fantastic shape. What a great idea, ask 4x what the truck is worth just so you can tell the wife "hey I posted it for sale now shut up" LOL To be honest I've thought about posting my truck for sale for about double what it's worth just in case that one guy who had to have it came along. Mine is quite decent in this area. Many MJ's are beat down rusty and worn out around here. Some decent ones too though, just not for sale.
  12. That's pretty wild, I like it!
  13. Good stuff, don't give up on the MJ's!!
  14. Lada? Nooooooooooo.... won't it be impossible to find parts for that thing? Should be pretty damn good in the snow if it's 4WD (are they all 4WD?). OK so yeah they are kinda funky looking.
  15. I've had no problems with my Dorman, I would recommend that one. I picked Dorman based on price mainly. You're fine to drive another week or two, no problem. I drove mine like that for over a month I think it was, and it was doing it when I bought the truck so who knows how long it was in need of repair. It took me quite a while to do the whole process because I had a hell of a time getting the old front crank oil seal out. I had to buy a tool, try different things etc. which added time. Replacing the balancer is totally a DIY job with that remover/installer kit. This isn't a real great video but it should give you an idea on the process (remember do it from underneath so you have to remove next to nothing):
  16. That is the **exact** same noise my truck made when I got it. Pushing the clutch in and out made my noise change slightly too, just like yours. Easy fix, order a Dorman 594-018, get the remover/installer tool from the local auto parts store that loans tools for free and have at 'er. You can confirm that your balancer is rubbing by looking on the backside of it from underneath. If it's shiny and has scrape marks like mine, you need to replace it (click my thread below for pics). Some guys have had the belt rub on the timing cover but it would sound a bit different. If you change it from underneath you only have to remove the skid plate (if you have one) and the rubber flap (if it hasn't been ripped off). It's a little tight for space but totally doable to change it from underneath. While you're there replace the front crankshaft seal on the timing cover. Here's my thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/42452-uh-oh-i-think-the-harmonic-balancer-is-bad/
  17. I bought a cheap version of this item locally, I just might be able to rig it into working.... If it doesn't work I'll let you know.
  18. It's still a total fail for me. I found some rod ends but they were 28, the only all-thread I could find was 20.
  19. OK I think we should just change this topic to be Real or fake boobies?, that would be much more interesting
  20. Well after pricing out the speedy sleeves in general I just ordered the Omix-Ada 16580.20 from Amazon, the price difference is minimal. I figured I'd buy it from there since I can return it fairly easily if it's the wrong part. Local auto parts stores do not carry any Omix-Ada parts, and their prices are usually 50%+ more than Amazon's price.
  21. How about using a Speedi-sleeve or Redi-sleeve? Anyone used one of those on the yoke before?
  22. Hey hornbrod, do you think the Omix-Ada one would work? Fits 87-06 Dana 35 wranglers. It's a bit cheaper.
  23. Looks like http://www.omix-ada.com/d35-strap-style-yoke-87-06-jeep-wrangler.html cross references to the same part #.
  24. I know it's groovy, that's why I don't want to put it back together with a new seal, it won't last. Thanks. It's silly that these parts sites online will include Cherokee & not Comanche. OK, frustrating sometimes. I know most everything is the same but sometimes you just gotta be 100% sure when you're buying online...
