    to add to your upgrade musings, I recently found out that the Liberty rear axle can be found as an 8.25 with disks and is a couple inches wider than stock. (the 35 was also available). I always thought they were the same width as an XJ, but I measured my '06 Libby. neat :D don't forget to swap out your mech fan for an electrical. :thumbsup:

    don't know for sure, but you should be able to remove the electronic pickup from the t-case and install your mechanical one (might need a different speedo gear inside)

    nope. clean out all the old sealant and use the new rubber trim

    any year XJ will work. use the late model XJ (97+) rubber window seal for installation (either if you attempt it or a shop does). vastly superior to the old ways :D and I agree with just letting a shop do it. some jobs are just worth the money.

    car-part.com is a junkyard search engine. :thumbsup: don't forget to search for various years because the website only organizes by part number and those change over the years even if the axle still swaps.
